Hopefully this one will be allowed to be seen through into the stages of testing before it is shot down entirely. There was a discussion with many Envoys that resulted in this, so it has already been discussed from a balance standpoint. There are also likely to be restrictions on the abilities, though I don't know entirely what they will be.

I agree with Shamarah, but you have to admit Seren got shafted.... They don't get decent bonuses compared to Mag or Celest

Celests construct gives 5 active abilities that can be used nicely in combat.
5 abilities that I can already do in combat.
PRAY TO ELOHORA - Cures a random ailment - invoke gedulah
PRAY TO SHAKINIEL - Raises a shield - invoke pentagram
PRAY TO METHRENTON - Heals health - chant puella
PRAY TO JAPHIEL - Heals mana - starchant lustration
PRAY TO RAZIELA - Heals ego. - chant laetitia

I'm with Nico, these abilites are no way better then what Serenwilde and Magnagora got, and we can already use their effects with existing skills.

Serenwilde currently has what Celest had since day one
Razenth2007-03-25 21:37:05
I suppose they should be at least a little better than there counterparts, maybe faster or something or heal more. Otherwise, it wouldn't be useful at all. I mean, it's not like they're tick effects or anything.

Consider that each prayer takes 2 seconds to invoke and you can pray once every 6 seconds (i.e., they're on their separate balance and are faster than the spells you mentioned). Consider the healing/curing abilities are in addition to whatever you do with herbs and potions. Consider that any Celest citizen can gain the aura at whatever level to gain these prayers.

Personally, I love the Altar. Free trips to Astral, on a random sphere (weighs more on a good thing than bad, since cities can only come up on one spot), and I'm finally able to be resurgemed.

You should be happy, the envoys thought and seemed to agree with it because they were under the assumption it was ONLY the prayers, you lucked out once again. So don't sweat it, you by far have the best construct. So please just enjoy it.

Mmm.... sounds delicious. Very delicious. This should go up and the consequences seen for a week or so. Hey you Celestians, go lobby the Star Council to get this built!

Just to put on my PR hat again..
I was involved in the discussion that resulted in this construct. A number of other envoys were as well. (If they wish to identify themselves they may do so, but it's not my place.
Many ideas were floated, and Estarra suggested the prayer thing. Out of four envoys, nobody objected to the prayer thing. Some specifics were kicked around, and the discussion tailored off as wild nodes began.
There was unanimous agreement that the proposed option was strong but not overly strong. Admittedly, this agreement was in the absence of specifics as to how much it would heal, that sort of thing.
I'm comfortable enough with the state of the construct that I don't object to it. I think we'll have to see how much it heals, and that sort of thing. I am sort of surprised that it retained the other benefits (beyond the prayers), but I may have misunderstood the nature of the discussion.
Edit: I'm sure that things will be toned if they're out of whack. The numbers can be tweaked, and restrictions can be put in.

I'm really sad I wasn't here for the earlier roast of the construct....
TOUCH - Gives the angelic aura for 10 power
Angelic aura acts as a field of protection
Sacraments resurrect on those with the angelic aura costs 0 power
It'd make me not so sad about becoming everyone's bitch if I get Ressurect, since there are no "power refunds" for those who do. I like, very very much!
Sacraments sacrifice on those with the angelic aura costs 0 power
You're still -dead- when you sacrifice. If you vitae, you still lose all the power in hand.
Sacraments honour effects those with angelic auras
Worthless for Sacraments users, because -someone- still has to put up Honour. Unless it stacks with Sacraments honour? If so, is it still limited by the maximum of a lvl3 regen rate? Honour+rays is already lvl2 on everything.
Benediction placed on those with angelic auras cost no power
Mm, this is sounding fun.
Angelic aura allows praying directly to the Holy Supernals:
PRAY TO ELOHORA - Cures a random ailment
Sounds fun.
PRAY TO SHAKINIEL - Raises a shield
What kind?
PRAY TO METHRENTON - Heals health
PRAY TO JAPHIEL - Heals mana
We shall see about these two....
PRAY TO RAZIELA - Heals ego.
*snicker* Raz makes people's heads bigger than they already are. Heeheehee.

Shakiniel's shield is a simple shield like 'evoke pentagram' or 'invoke circle'. However, it is faster than these skills.

Angelic aura acts as a field of protection
What type of field of protection is this? Can it be more specific, does it act like a telekinetic's shield that absorbs all damage, is it a lvl3 blunt/cutting lvl3 magic/fire/elect resistance?
Is it nerfing warriors even more?
Just curious about the protection field it seems to give

What is meant by 'field of protection'?

I'd really like to suggest waiting to find out IC, but I suppose that isn't going to happen with the hype around this construct in particular. 'Field of protection' means a damage reduction. As far as I know, however, it isn't massive.

Hopefully it isn't that much, since well, warriors are already pretty set to only being able to use wounding, and it is hard enough to hit hard even with a 395 damage sword, to actually do any real damage to an opponent, even with a fire/elect rune on them, so basically I am just hoping it didn't just nerf 1400 worth of runes put on a damage sword.
