Well, I've come back after an age. No doubt I'll have lots of questions, which I'll post here.
Hopefully everyone is still as helpful as they were. ^^

With a statline like this:
| Strength : 18 Dexterity : 12 Constitution : 16 |
| Intelligence : 12 Size : 15 Charisma : 10 Timeout : 30 min |
Is there much point to me learning influence? I expect I'd be able to make more xp and gold hunting.

With only 10 cha influencing would be pointless and wildly unsuccessful
Casilu2009-08-18 02:16:41
Brood Viscanti, right? You should be able to use rituals and highmagic to at least buff you to twelve, weakening might be an option every once in a while.
Unknown2009-08-18 14:56:36
Influencing is always great for slow but steady experience and gold. You won't be good at it, but it can reward you if you're feeling lazy (especially if you help me bump up esteem prices to 6k!)
Rybosh2009-08-19 09:12:00
Brood Viscanti, yeah.
Given the gold I've been getting from getting back into bashing, I'm not too concerned with influence now.

Looking at making a pvp weapon. From AB FORGING TEMPER:
My question is... is the prevailing wisdom that its better to max out speed or precision?
I made this weapon for hunting:
It is a two-handed weapon.
Damage: 360 Precision: 211 Speed: 204 Weapon Sum: 479.90909090909
A dragon-hilted claymore has no poisons or magical effects on it.
I wonder what'd be the best for PvP though..

FORGING - TEMPER
Syntaxes: TEMPER PRECISION|SPEED|DAMAGE UP|DOWN
TEMPER UP|DOWN
This will raise or reduce the specified statistic of the weapon or armor by one point. You can do this to warrior weapons, plate armour, or
greathelm armour only. Increasing a stat costs 1 steel commodity. (Except for speed on a two-handed weapon, which costs double.) Decreasing
a stat may sometimes reduce the useful lifespan of the item. Every stat has a minimum below which it cannot be reduced. There are also
maximums, explained below.
* Plate armour: 100 for each stat. 180 for the combined stats.
* Warrior one-handed weapons: 180 for damage, 235 for precision, and 280 for speed. Max weapon score is 480 for master weapons, 384 for
standard weapons.
* Warrior two-handed weapons: 360 for damage, 517 for precision, and 280 for speed. Max weapon score is 480 for master weapons, 384 for
standard weapons.
Note: A weapon's score is the sum of all stats for one-handed weapons. For two-handed weapons, divide the damage in half and the precision
by 2.2, then add those values to the speed.

Well first, precision is for wounding, so it has nothing to do with hunting. Your hunting weapons don't need high precision. You need speed, speed, and more speed.
As for PvP, I'm no expert. But I think speed is still the most important for that too, but someone else may come along and correct me.

Everiine2009-08-24 05:12:31
I clearly hit the wrong button.
Casilu2009-08-24 05:43:18
Do I need to find the video of the beast again? Speed matters. High speed, you'll likely need high precision as well.
Rybosh2009-08-24 06:08:20
Ok, so max speed, min damage and the rest precision. Gotcha.

Here is my skills and stat:
I have enough lessons to trans out a skill, and I'm thinking I should finish off my guild skills. Is there anything I'm missing in my skills that will hamper me overmuch?

I'd advise getting trans planar.

Good point... conglutination looks nice.
Grabbing that now.

230/187/280 katana for hunting I believe. (Most amount of damage you can have with max speed)
For combat, since you're not a demigod, you could try 66/whatever is max/240-260?
