Just a quick brief about where to put what.
Issues are for Issues. Issues means, something you need to speak with admin about. It does not mean put bugs and typos here. An example of a good issue would be, "Roark is cheating and stole all my gold." or "I seem to be stuck buried, help."
Bugs: these are the things you see that are wrong, not typos. We have a great team sorting bugs all day long(ok, so it's about 10 minutes a week because we have no bugs *nod me*) make his life easier and give as much information as possible. Typos go in thier own little place, putting them as a bug won't get them fixed any faster. If we can't reproduce a bug, we can't fix it. In oither words, it's better to give too much then too little. Spamming bugs does nothing, they get deleted before a coder sees it anyway.
Typo's: just what it says. Use TYPO and again be sure to mention exactly where it is so we can find it faster. Putting them in bugs does nothing more then make our hard working people have to move them to where they should be. Sometimes they get lost that way too.
Idea's: Put all the cool stuff you would love to see in here. I personaly would suggest, if it's a big complex idea, post it to the forums so you can get other players perspectives on it. As I'm sure you've seen, alot of good ideas come off the forums(Debating being on the of the coolest in my mind).
Following these simple guidelines will make things run just alittle smoother, which means we can continue to stay the best mud out there.
Oh, don't forget to: (Haha Estarra, stole your smiley)

This is the second time I've had to remove a thread because it gave away information on system rooms and quest items.
If you find yourself in a room that you shouldn't be in, please DO NOT post the log on here. There is potentially information within those rooms that could be used by certain people to an IC advantage, and we would rather not take that risk.
For obvious reasons, please don't post about abuseable bugs either.
Thank you.

Why are you posting bugs here? This was a thread clarifying which command to use to report what kind of thing. Bugs posted on the forums will not be looked at, only reported ones in-game will be.

Just a few tips about submitting bugs that will help us, and by that, you all as well.
1.) Don't try and put 'Important' or 'this is broken, fix it!' or 'I don't like this!' in your bug. Spamming the same bug isn't going to get it fixed any faster, either. That is generally going to make it the last bug to get looked at.
2.) Don't just say, 'This mob won't respond to me'. Which mobile? What is its number? What room/area is it in? What other mobiles/items were in the room? What have you been doing before/during interaction with the mobile? Try to be as descriptive as possible, within reason. (For example, you don't have to list all 30 + defenses you had at the time in your bug, but it might be wise to take note of them, in case you are asked later.)
3.) Do you see an untrapped error message when you do something? Don't do it again! Try to submit a detailed bug report on it as soon as possible instead.
4.) Typo's are typos, not bugs. If you list them as a bug, it takes that much longer for it to be fixed. Simply TYPO HERE if it's a problem with the room, or TYPO for the other mistakes you might notice. Also, Issues are issues, not bugs - don't complain that someone has received free levels, or has harrassed you for OOC information in a bug report. Just ISSUE ME, or you can also ISSUE the person who has been causing the problem.
5.) Better safe than sorry. It's easier and less time consuming to have to check an incorrect or nonexistent bug, than to later find out it exists and has done damage.

This is an actual bug report, with names and other information removed. This is by far the single best bug report I have seen in a long time.
This report tells me exactly where to look to fix it, and makes the process far easier and faster. Kudos to the person that wrote this bug report.
Of course, you may not always know as much as he seems to have known when he wrote it, but this is a VERY good example of how much detail you should give(if you have it).

Partially Damaged Arm! After being hit in the head by Blah(Blademaster), if I
apply health to my head and don't completely heal it, I end up with a 'partially
damaged left arm'. Likewise for my gut, except it is then a partially damaged
RIGHT arm. If I completely heal the wounds on my head/gut it goes away, though
without a curing message, which I would get if I had used regeneration to cure
it. As far as I can tell, however, this affliction does nothing except mess up
crippled limbs - if I have a partially damaged left arm and a crippled left arm,
only the partially damaged part will show up on diagnose, and I can still use my
left arm as normal. Applying mending to it, however, will not cure the masked
crippled limb affliction (though instead of the 'The salve has no discernable
effect' message, it gives nothing. Once the partially damaged arm is cured, the
crippled one comes into effect and shows up on diagnose, and I can no longer us
that arm. I hope this helps. I have a log of Blahand I and the troublesome
arms if you need it.

Many of you file typo reports and while it is appreciated and we try and get them fixed as soon as we can, there are times we just have no idea what you are referring to in your typos.
A few things to note when sending in a typo are:
1. If it is a room description typo, use TYPOHERE and give more than "There is a typo here, please fix it" The easier it is for us to find the typo the faster it will be fixed.
2. If it is a denizen/item description typo use TYPO and give the IH number of the denizen/mob and again, be detailed so we can pinpoint it faster.
3. If it is something a denizen says/does again use TYPO and give the full phrase/action of the denizen as well as the IH number.
These three tips will greatly increase the speed at which things can be fixed and make for an overall better environment for everyone.

Please remember that detailed BUG reports are important. Things like "LOOK doesn't work", aren't helpful. And unless you coded it, remarks like "This isn't working how it's meant to", are also seemingly pointless.
