Are elephants really this smart and artistic or is this a fake?

Was shown this the other day.

My guess would be that by no means are they that artistic, but they're smart enough. Pretty sure it was trained to do that rather than learning it by its own devices, but it's still pretty impressive.

Saw this performed live, and since I wasn't old enough to see the Commodores version... figure I would share one of the craziest live bands (cept Mr.Bungle but oh yeah they were basically the same band ) doing a classic R&B song, with nothing but respect for the original.
