Same here (except I only ever pronounced Maylea the first way). And for the record, Lendren is, well, Len-dren. Pretty easy. I wanted this character's to be unmistakeable... though I'm sure there's someone out there who says it Throatwarbler Mangrove anyway.

Yes, it's also intentionally a hum-drum name too. Lendren wasn't supposed to be flashy at all. (Funny how things turn out!) The name was borrowed from another character, an NPC in a game I was running, which was for him chosen to be a 'regular Joe' kind of person, a simple fellow who likes pork pies and worked in a kitchen and that's about it.

Omg, I knew it. And Xenthos, this is why 'veal' still doesn't work as a clever pun-insult on his name. There is nothing that sounds like zi-el!

Heh, you'll note that I was not arguing the fact that a hard T doesn't sound anything like a "th," (which would blow a large hole in your theory), just the fact that you've decided to come up with someone else's little name-thing.
