You're not allowed to.

Fix Axelord First!

The only new specialization I'd love to see is a spear specialization.

I love the fact that people are trying to get more to like Warriors, but warriors desparately need to have the existing specs balanced more before they can even think about adding new ones.

For instance, in the ur'Guard there are two ALs: Daevos, an omnitrans demigod with artifacts, and I, a non-trans Axelord. That shows you how badly AL needs to be fixed.

It is a interesting idea, but you should flesh it out to include daggers or throwing knives as well. The only closest combatant I can think of that would match the whip/dagger would be a roman gladiator known as a Retiarius, who wielded a dagger and a net.

Perhaps make the spec called "Bandit" or something simliar, and have its instakill only work if they are pinned to the ground by 4 knives (one through each limb). Also, it'd need a lock, so make a knife, at heavy head wounds, stick in the neck so far that it'll hit the spine, causing a random-side paralysis every X seconds (and a slitthroat effect) that can only be cured by pulling out the knife. Now, being hindered would stop you from pulling out the knife, so if you WhipWrap them, they have to WRITHE WHIP before pulling the knife out.

I just don't want to turn warriors into bondage-esqe fighters.

Daevos does pretty well as an axelord I must say.

On another note, Clise might be tempted to take up whipmastery. *Peer Tervic*

I say a big NO. Not because what Verithrax said (though I agree with him), but because whips suck as weapons. There's a reason they were never used for actual combat. It's like if there was a specialisation for warriors to dual-wield umbrellas (they can hurt if you hit hard enough!) or broken bottles.

As an aside, Cahur is one too.

Lara Croft and Indiana Jones use whips!

Castlevania anyone?
Dalena2007-09-01 19:32:47
I think it sounds pretty good. I'd love to run around whacking Shiro with a whip rather than shofa. Make those weapons come to Serenwilde!!! >.<

Oh god that would be AWESOME. A grand melee, screaming, blood, flashes of magic anywhere.. and there's a nutter in full plate swinging a pair of pink and white striped umbrellas around, howling for blood at the top of his lungs.

DEMAND UMBRELLA WIELDING.
