Garghast - Follows, break limbs, black out, uses fire.
Garwight - Causes balance loss, freezes, cold attacks, one super attack
Garghoul - Inflicts charbydon, causes eq loss

Incorrect, Forren.
A splendor robe user is much better off than a fullplate user there.
It'd be rather easy to prove my point, too. I could use leather armour which is worse than robes with no proofs as well and never take over 3k damage from max health (which would be beyond proving the point because their damage would still scale to my max hp).

I always thought the important thing in fighting in the catacombs was your crit rate % not your max health...

Absolutely right.. against garshades. But there are no garshades at the bottom level.. so it doesn't matter as much.
Razenth2007-04-28 00:22:44
Are garshades nastier than garwights?
Rika2007-04-28 00:26:39
Yes. Essentially stronger, and can do health drain, which pretty much heals them completely a lot of the time.

As said, its not a complete heal but its is close enough as it is... its something you don't take on unless you have a high crit rate like titans/demigods do or have a group.

You forgot:
garskulls: physical damage, maybe a stun don't remember
garshade: Insanely OP, will cost you at least 20 sparkleberries and god knows how many sips to kill. These things health leech is the most OP crap I have seen for bashing, you can have the thing shielding itself and it hits with that one time and it is back to light wounds (which is right at or close to full health) also these things seem to hit with healthleech WAAAAY too much, like every 3rd hit can be a leech.

OHHHHH YEA!
Which is another reason the rift should not be at the bottom level. Work for your bashing.
Spirit World:
spirit rocs
spirit sharks
spirit spiders
spirit rockeaters
All above hit harder than live versions, spiders web, and afflict I think...
Hunter: The have crazy random afflictions, also alot of paralysis.
If we have a way right to the bottom level of catacombs there should be a way to bash spirit world too, without having to work for it.

I think someone, maybe Aiakon, mentioned that there are not enough mobs in Tosha to have a backdoor in.
As an FYI, there is -exactly- the same number of mobs in tosha as gardead in the bottom level of the catacombs.

Thus voiding the theory there are not enough to make a rift, if people of circle 70-85 complain about bashing zones so much why isn't there a perma rift there?

Because it is NOT adjacent to any other plane

That is easy to remedy, and who knows if it isn't adjacent to prime, we don't know that for sure, how many people have tried building rifts to it from all planes?
Furien2007-04-28 20:35:02
Well, most people go off the game's Planar Chart deal. There's no Spirit Plane there, therefore it must not be connected to any others.

Because no one has thought to consider to think it is on the same tier as ethereal, or maybe one level higher than astral. What if old world explorers only went off the charts they had.... how would we have found half of the places we found.
Clise2007-04-29 00:35:53
It used to be that people can spore to there from Ethereal. Was change since people were sneaking out Tosha blessings this way. Now that you cannot get a scroll unless you have the blessings of all 4 masters ...
