So, Peter Hiro'd into the future. Where have we seen that before?

Also, there was one painting we didn't see when Bennet laid them all out. It looked like it had a vat with the biohazard symbol bathed in one side of it.

This episode rocked so hard. Hiro's storyline gets more awesome every time we see it, and I loved:

Ivan: You'll condemn yourself to hell!
*boom!*
Noah: I know...

The actor playing Bennet has skills. Also, last time it was Hiro who went into the future, wasn't it? Both in Two Years Later and right at the start when he saw New York explode. So we've seen it before, but it wasn't Peter - and you'd complain if they didn't use it as a plot device, anyway, so don't complain when they do.

There were two paintings we haven't seen before that aren't clearly shown.
Watch carefully at the end of the scene as the camera moves back - number two shows someone (perhaps Claire, as happened in this episode?) lying broken on some stairs. Now rewind and watch as Bennet puts number 7 (the one of Mohinder - is it Mohinder? - shooting someone) on the ground and you'll see number 5 more clearly. It shows someone - hard to tell who, perhaps Peter or Nathan - in the foreground with a shocked expression. In the background are a red or purple drum with a biohazard logo on it and another man.

And also, I wonder if Bob really has changed, or if he's just stringing Mohinder along?

It was called "Five Years Gone", actually. *ducks*

And yeah, this probably will be used differently. The time-travel-and-learn thing just seems to be wearing that little bit thin now.

Also, it seems that know we know who Molly's worse-than-the-boogeyman guy is, it seems they've made Adam Monroe the new mystery man.

That was awesome. I had to restrain cheering from my seat.

He's just stringing him along - which is why he sent Jessica to keep an eye on him instead of Nikki.

And yeah, I wasn't sure if Nikki was doing sinister "So there're no more... misunderstandings, muahahaha" or not. Her face is so bland.

Also, if anyone has a HR version of the episode at higher res (mine's just the HDTV XviD), I can't make out what's written on the barrel. It's probably just "biohazard", but eh.

I don't think there was any indication that bob changed.

mohinder looked scared witless when he saw who his new partner was.

Also, earlier in the season when Nathan goes into the future, that is just a nightmare.

I love how they imply that sylar gets the black death and kills the world with it tongue.gif

I'll look at the episode on nbc.com and see if I can make out the paintaings.

Wouldn't you be scared if you got teamed with killer-lady?
laugh.gif
And it could be Sylar with the black-eye death or it could be the Company getting a little to test-happy with that virus and what Mohinder worried about (the virus mutating and running rampant amongst the general population) coming true.

I'm really curious to see what happens with him. Is he still going to be the big enemy in this one? Or is it going to be the "boogey man" (I doubt it)? Or the new guy? Or the Company (like the note in Montreal implied)?
Daganev2007-10-30 19:15:35
looking at the paitings on nbc.com this is what I see.

1. clair on stairs
2. mohinder with vial
3. unkown girl banging on door
4. peter in the future with biohazard thingy
5. hiro fighting kensei
6. mohinder shooting somebody
7. Bennet Killed

I've generally been able to tell most of the time whether or not we're looking at Nikki or Jessica. Nikki's always seemed slightly paler and drawn, while Jessica smiles more, has more colour in her face, her voice seems to have a slightly sultrier quality to it, and her makeup also always seems to be pristine.

And another thought - What if Candice/Michelle was working for the company and gave Sylar the anti-power drug? It would explain his loss of ability, but it would also seem a little cheap for them to just push the reset button on him without giving him a way to get the powers back.

Out of curiosity, there's some talk about Heroes having a "sophomore slump" and lower ratings this season. Are people bored with the plotlines. It seems like this is the same show we had last year, I don't see it dipping in quality.

Looks like they've cancelled the Origins spin-off...but that could be because of the potential writers strike...

Bored with the plotlines? Seriously? I'm the opposite of bored with the plotlines! laugh.gif Heroes has become my Lost (meaning I don't answer the phone, the door, IMs or anything when it's on). Course, in Feburary when Lost comes back, I'll have two Losts! laugh.gif

That makes me very sad.

My guess is that the show is very popular and they made that decision for leverage purporses.

Great episode!

I knew the quarantene thing in the future was the virus Bob wanted to play around with gone wild. I figured out who Adam was as soon as Bob said there was a big boss man behind Linderman and Matt's dad! That's so cool - and not just cause I'm proud of myself for figuring something out!
laugh.gif
He's prolly Claire's great great grandfather or something too... what with there being a 'dark secret in the Petreli (or however you spell it) family' (according to the preview for next week's ep anyway) and all - and that explains why they have the same power.
Ymbryne2007-11-06 03:30:02
Because of the writer's strike, isn't there only like one or two more episodes of Heroes until that gets resolved?

I'm pretty sure they've already filmed a good chunk of the season already. I know Kirsten Bell has talked about the filming of episodes in a past tense sort of way, and Zachary Quinto has to get started on Star Trek. I'd guess they have until the mid-season break at least already filmed, in which case there probably won't be any noticeable disruption in the show.
