The name on the comic book Micah was reading while "trapped"

Something like the Great Ulurru! Terrible, invicible powers! or something. Its too speculative for me to look up the details on it.

Ahhhhh. I'm gonna laugh then when next season comes and the new bad guy's name is Bob. laugh.gif

Question that has always bugged me:

How the hell do the characters know the Haitian is indeed from Haiti?? What if he's from the Dominican Republic? Characters who see him just once immediately start calling him "the Haitian" even though he looks like a regular black guy.

Do you remember the episode where we saw flashbacks of Claire's dad when he first started working for the company? That's when he was first introduced to the Haitian. He was a kid then, teenager. But he was specificly introduced as being from Haiti. So, they get calling him the Haitian from Claire's dad or other people who know him, specificly others connected to the company like Nathan's mom and Linderman and so on.

Would be interesting if Sylar did survive then went up against the next baddie and was utterly defeated.

It's a well-known plot device would be a good way to illustrate just how much "worse" the next guy is supposed to be.

But how did Matt know him as "the Haitian"?

Cause he reads minds, and he read it from Claire's dad's mind. That's how he thinks of him, so that's what Matt calls him. It was in the episode where Matt and the FBI chick were tailing Claire's dad.

But he didn't read it from Mr. Bennet since the Haitian was there! >_<

No, he got the word "Sylar" then I believe. Well, crud. I know he read it from Claire's dad... but my brain won't spit out the exact time it happened. I'll have to think about it.

Some people know what people from Haiti look like, vs people from Nigeria tongue.gif

He could totally look Dominican. tongue.gif

EDIT: Oh, and Matt picked up the word "Claire" from Bennet. He got "Sylar" from that FBI woman.

Thats just a limitation of the actors they could choose from. If they had a better actor, he would only be able to be identified as haitian *nod me*

Illusion lady is dead (NIkki killed her. Or Jessica, I can't remember which is which anymore) meaning Sylar can never absorb her power meaning Sylar can never impersonate Nathan meaning that either 1) Nathan survives and becomes president, or 2) Isaac's paintings aren't ALWAYS right.

Given how the explosion in New York was averted, I'd say that the latter is pretty much "proven", and the chain of events that Isaac predicted isn't going to happen, thus Nathan will never be president.

You sure illusion lady is dead? I thought she just got knocked unconscious.

I thought he got it from the brand of watch he was working on at the time.
Shiri2007-05-23 03:01:29
That's where Sylar got Sylar. Matt got Sylar from the FBI woman.
Unknown2007-05-23 07:12:33
And then Matt picked up the name "Sylar" again from Bennet when Bennet and the Haitian were walking out of the police station. Matt got a nosebleed in doing so. Proof that thinking too hard has a bad side. *sagenod*

Television Rule Number 2: No one ever truly dies. Ever.

I thought they actually did a pretty good job of keeping dead people dead in this show. Like Eden, or Isaak/Peter's girlfriend, or Hiro's chick (names are escaping me here). I definitely would have expected Peter to try to time travel and save her. He'd already met Hiro at this point (I remember thinking it at the time, although I can't remember specifically when it happened.)

I'm not sure that even if Candice (illusionist) really was dead that it would stop Sylar from eating her brain.

Sylar didn't have Claire's ability in the future episode. Because he specifically said that he'd been waiting a long time for this, right before he stole her brain. I'm not sure exactly what happened, because Peter had that scar which meant that he hadn't saved Claire. I suppose it's possible that Sylar took her brain and Mr. Bennett put it back in, but then why would Sylar track her down again?

My theory was that the dream visions were from Peter's mother (Since we never found out what her power was, and I figured it would make her a good puppetmaster) but it probably does make more sense for it to be Charles.

What else? Oh, when Eden shot herself in the head it was supposedly going to stop Sylar from taking her power. But we hear him use The Voice a couple times, and I believe Peter uses it ("Don't lie to me!") without actually having met Eden. What were the opinions on that?

Side note: Was anyone else surprised that when her illusions faded she looked the same as always? I definitely expected her to be some hugely fat girl, based on what she said to Micah while she was eating. He said something about how his cat ate like that and he was huge, and Candice said "So am I."

That was just some random thoughts. I liked the last episode, but the ending really did seem arbitrary. Although I always expected that either Hiro would go back and do adventures with Kensei, or that he would actually become Kensei.
Unknown2007-05-23 16:55:18
My theory is that the 'Voice' is both a representation of Eden's power as well as someone with extremely good control over their ability or using a great deal of power. That would explain how Sylar seems to be able to do it at will (often he's not even commanding people, remember when he said 'Hi' to Sandra Bennet?) as well as Peter doing it as he's using telekinesis to throw Isaac across the room.
