emote tries to lick ^arin
would mean you see:
Snaithy tries to lick you.
Everyone else sees:
Snaithy tries to lick Arin
would mean you see:

Anyway to do his/her? I just want to write some in aliases.

CODE
TARGETTED EMOTING
=================
Emoting uses a simple language, which can be used to refer other characters and
objects around you.
To make it a bit easier to understand, we have provided a table.
Symbol    Reference  Target sees
^john        John            you
^john_him    him/her        you
^john_he    he/she          you
^john_his    his/her        your
^john's      John's          your
Example:
EMOTE turns to ^estarra, reaching out and shaking ^estarra_his hand,
  smiling widely.
What is seen by Estarra:
Roark turns to you, reaching out and shaking your hand, smiling widely.
What is seen by Everyone:
Roark turns to Estarra, reaching out and shaking his hand, smiling widely.

I love you!

Apparently there are a couple more we dun think about often.
Bow/curtsey are both apparently gender specific (which kinda sucks, since my moondancer is a genderbender sometimes)
men/women are gender specific
And I'm not sure about cruise, but that might be male only.

No, cruise isn't gender based. Women cruise me all the time.
Really.
Srsly.

Lol. It refers to Estarra as a male.

Not IC She's not
Estarra, the Eternal (Creatrix Goddess).
The circumstances of Her beginnings are beyond your feeble understanding.

The bow emote drives me nuts. I use it reflexively because of my last MUD. I don't like salutes, they seem too... not-foresty. Yes, eloquent I know.
So, here's Akui in my most common race:
She is a menacing orclach and and carries herself in a prideful manner.
Burning green eyes contrast fiercely with the deep grey tone of her complexion,
looking out from a face framed by a mane of raven hair. Fangs the width of a
human's thumb push up from her lower jaw, ending in fine points just below a
small nose. Her corded shoulders flow into powerful arms, reaching down to
calloused hands that end in sharp, black nails. Her bosom is unpronounced among
the dense musculature of her body, wrapped tightly in canvas strips. She
moves with a feral savagery, her actions at once graceful and purposeful.
Probably carrying a big ass sword, with another one sheathed over her back, wearing heavy armor, a helm, and a cloak.
There's a good chance she reeks of whatever she has recently killed, or has been sprayed by something or other while she was killing it.
I have a situation where I want to bow, and I get this:
You perform a graceful curtsey.
I should really just alias bow to something more fitting.

Actually, while I'm thinking about it, is there any way to refer to oneself in a ^targeted emote? Call me picky, but I don't like when my logs refer to my characters as "him" in the emotes. (As opposed to you, or your for his or the like)
