I suggest that novices that decide to skip the tutorial still get the grey novice tunic and trousers.

Agreed.

They don't already? Wow, yeah, they should.

As much as I like the idea, I have something that I'd like to point out.
The novice clothes are the only way I can differentiate a novice who has gone through the tutorial with one that hasn't. This is very important, because I refer to the tutorial and the Fates when guiding the novices, and I'll usually explain the basic syntax to those who haven't gone through the tutorial.
Again, I'd like the novices to have clothes, that'll make me less guilty when I have no money to purchase decent clothes for them.

Why are people thinking about novices naked, first of all?
They get clothes when they come from their trial.
Why, for pete sake, should they get clothes they don't earn? DO the intro, there's nothing wrong with it. SPeed it up if it's an alt of yours.

Because, there are people who have never played IRE games or MUDS before, and do not know that the tutorial gives them important information, experience, gold and clothing. And some also do not know that you can SPEEDUP more than once.
