I've been looking more and more into trying to time my demesne carefully, but the more I test things the less sense it all makes. For example, the order I cast effects does not always seem to matter. Sometimes, the effect I cast second will actually hit first. Also, tremors seem to hit randomly, instead of every 10 seconds with the other effects. I also have problems figuring out the timing of certain skills that are delayed. For example, if I cast tremors, it will actually hit for the first time in a few seconds. I'm not sure if it should hit every 10 seconds from the first time it hits, or every 10 seconds from when I cast it.
For another example, currently I trigger demesne effects off of the tremors message. So, the first time I see the tremors message, I trigger that to cast stonerain. When my demesne actually ticks, stonerain will hit before tremors.
Has anyone made sense of all of this? In trying to set up an automated system, I haven't been able to actually get all effects (including tremors) to hit together. If they do hit within the same second, they seem to be ordered by some internal rule, instead of the order they were cast. All of this makes it complicated to try to come up with an automated demesne setup script.

I just used alarms set at 10 second intervals. And never had any problems at all.

This is what I started doing, and I just assumed it worked. When I actually stop and look at when my effects are hitting, though, it seems bizarre. I'll work on lining up a good spar to try to show it tonight (of course, with my luck, it will all work perfectly then).

The game has had odd issues with timing in general lately. Whether it's processor lag or some other issue, I honestly couldn't say. Effects are still staggered every 10 seconds, but you're going to have to check DEMESNE after you do your timing and do some manual readjustment. Effects are always cast with 5 as the last digit, and always fire when 0 is the last digit.
Or spend the eight power and do it automatically. I've become a big fan of that lately. I can't afford to spend two whole minutes tweaking a demesne.

As a Geo, you really only have to time lodestone with rockslide, just cast rockslide a little later. Used to do the trick for me.

Yeah, I noticed an odd issue with timing too. When I all cast them at 10 second intervals, they appeared randomly, so I started using .5 additions to the skills I wanted to cast a little later or earlier.

I just cast tremors then have the tremors triggered to cast lodestones 2 seconds later, cast another effect while i wait for the next tremors line, and then it casts rockslide 2 seconds after that. Like Ashteru said, the only ones u need bother timing are rockslide and lodestones, works like a charm.
