Can a rune be added to a bookbinding tome?

you can but I'm an herbalist. I just wanted a switch and back. yeah no perm splendours either. I also mentioned out every trans forger gets that perm fullplate without having to do anything and how all those were fair that we can't even pay extra to make something permanent without even getting the benefit of a rune or other artifact. the no reply was really lame. I had a topic about splendours too and have heard they get about 7 or 8 mendings before they're done.

I agree that the tome should be given an enchanting rune.. and robes should be made permanently like the fullplate for forgers sad.gif

Are you serious?? =( Major bummer, I was planning to get a rune for my tome in a few days too. It's nearly decayed now. Meh, I guess splendor robes can't be made permanent either then?

They can't be made permanent, but they can be mended repeatedly even after you've switched tradeskills, and kept for RL months afterwards. The problem is that, if you lose them, you just can't make another pair.

like I said, they can be mended about 7-8 times according to some trans tailors. it's still limited like everything else. it's just lame that skills like forgers get free perm things and enchanters get their crowns, but the rest of us don't even get the option when we offer to pay more.

You can also get a cabinet from an Artisan, and put your robes in there before you log off every time. I do, and mine have decayed all of one month in the last RL...umm....six? And that was because the "month" switched over while I was logged in. May cost a fortune, but you can get a Stasis Gem to keep the cabinet itself permanent, and BAM! Virtual Permanent Splendor Robes.

I think that only makes them tawdry, doesn't it? I always thought robes could be mended indefinitely. Tawdry robes still have the same defense stats as before, they just don't give you the prestige bonus.

I think tawdry clothes sometimes disintegrate when mended.

Barrin couldn't mend my shabby cloak. They have limited mendings. And nice Ixchilgal. I use a shop stockroom instead cause it's convienent for my tome too.

You can make a new anything trans. If you can afford it.
