Not yet. wink.gif

Anyway, yeah, back to topic. biggrin.gif
Which I was commenting on, Ebonguard is awesome just for bashing and chilling. You can advance if you want, you don't need to, though.
Unknown2007-05-02 14:38:02
Oooooh, so you're Critter. Cool. And Urazial, I've spoken to Critter in game.

Anyway, I'd just like point out that I 'nag' at novices because it's one form of interaction with the novices. And for all the forum readers, nagging usually consists of 'How are your Passages faring, Shadowbound?'. However, if I know that they are working on a particular passage, I'll ask how are they progressing, and if they need help. That's all.

And I've told you before, the passages are not requirements. They're optional tasks that you can perform to graduate faster, and not compulsory for you to complete before graduating. Yes, Shadowdancers may more or less expect novices to perform the passages, but if you'd just inform any ranking person, we'll understand.

Well, if you're deadset on leaving the Shadowdancers, if you want to stay in Glomdoring, Harbingers and Ebonguard are the best way to go. (Which Xenthos already said. Hrm)

I'm such a she! Well, I guess Critter does sound kinda guyish... fish.gif

I was trying to leave and explain why I left without offending anyone. If I did, I'm sorry. That wasn't my intention. When I mentioned nagging, it was meant in a light-hearted way.

Caerulo, yes we did talk. I understood that you were only trying to help. But, I get asked about the passages every time I log in. That's what I was speaking of. They ask how I'm doing with the passages, if I need help with them, if I'm working on them, etc. I'm thrilled to see a guild so focused on teaching their novices. It's lovely to know that some guilds do actually care about their novices. I've often found that some organizations wash novices under a rug, so to speak. That's not the case here though.

I was hoping to leave without causing a disturbance. But, seems I did the opposite. I hold no hard feeling by any means. As I previously stated, I liked the guild and it's members were wonderful. I just can't put that much time into building a well known character right now. I'm more looking to play casually. There are days I can spend a little more time in game, but that's not constant.

Edit: Of the 4+ months I've been here, 90% of that time has just been in the forums. I have a main character I play in Achaea. I mostly enjoy these forums. The game itself is nice, of course.

Well, at the very least, stay in Glomdoring? :hopeful:
Unknown2007-05-02 15:24:34
Well, I left Glomdoring because I was told that I needed to hurry up and get in another Glomdoring guild and that Glomdoring does not welcome rogues. I don't intend to play a rogue. But, I wasn't sure how long it would take for me to find a guild that I would fit well in. That's why I posted here to begin with. Hoping to find out a little more about them first.

Heh, yes, please don't judge all of Lusternia based on a few glom members overreacting, I'd look into the Seren like Shadow said, it's much less Big-Brother-y then glom.

I've also found the Aquamancers to be a nice pick from experience with my alts as well, they mirror the Moondancers pretty closely in that they have a lot of tests/tasks/advancements, but they're all optional. They both have active novice systems and tons of information, but not the need to cram it down your throat.

Also: Magical water? Mystical moonlight? Who couldn't love it. wub.gif They're two of my favorite groups of skills by flavor.

You obviously didn't read anything she wrote.

Anyway, I'm sorry that your character left, Critter! She was sweet, and I liked her. If you'd like to come back to Glom IC, we can certainly work something out. If not, I wish you the best of luck with whatever you decide to pursue for yourself.

I view it as an overreaction to nag novices, yes. It's grown out of a desire to help your nation, and improve the quality of the game, but it's an overreaction non-the-less, and it can have the opposite effect if people aren't as understanding as Critter here.

Yeah, he can take on like 30 guards at once with his bare hands.

Please don't go by this interpretation of Glomdoring- by his own admission is Glom alts spend most of their time camped out in whatever guildhall and doing.... whatever enjoyment can be gotten from a Seren player with a Glom alt loitering around guildhalls can get. Big Brother... um, yeah. Well, despite some Chicken Little-like claims that Glomdoring is watching over your shoulder and trying to cram anything down anyone's throat you have to consider the source of the speculations rolleyes.gif
Unknown2007-05-02 16:38:29
Please lower your shields and power down your lasers there bub.

Chicken little claims? I'm not claiming anything.

Critter said the guild-regulations weren't a cup of tea, I tried to give alternatives, and I'm met with all this hostility.

Edit:The Semantically correct side of me wants to point out that the sky -did- fall in the last book I read with a chicken little story, it was the table of contents, and it squished everyone.

You might want to re-read what you posted again. Your original entrance to this thread carries its own hostility in equal measure to Urazial's reply. It's up to you whether or not to consider that hostile.

However, we're deviating from the point of the thread, so--

I hope you find what you're looking for, Critter!
Urazial2007-05-02 16:42:06
Um... no hostility. I do disagree with your assessment of Glomdoring being Big Brotherly, yep. If disagreeing with your opinion is what you consider "hostile".... dunno.gif

No bickering in my thread!

Turn your mf_swordfight.gif and eyepoke.gif into sun.gif and hug.gif
