i put them in every single room in the nest literally every one. it's gonna be that way in every room until they're all hit.
Doesn't that fit into what Zarquan and Xenthos are saying? You have 6 agorphobia(sp?) hexes in every room with 6 more following you?

wellt hat was what I was saying where it's unavoidable. those six in each room are necessary when it's just me and sojiro against 6+ defenders. we have to split them up somehow. But I know what they're saying.

Well, of course it's unavoidable if you're specifically doing it with that intent... heh.

but they let me know where people are, if the group gets split up and such (with hex sense)

Uhh... most rooms in the Nest have the exact same name?

the bottom is specifically narrow enough and the rate at which everyone hits means they all went together and then when others hit but some don't, then I know they're split

With hexes, could you Doublewhammy sleep and sleep to strip insomnia and put someone to sleep in a single move?
Razenth2007-05-09 04:47:07
Yes, but if they have kafe or metawake they can instantly get back up.
Minus stand up time if they're off balance of course.
But heck, that shouldn't matter!

Yeah, it's only semi-nice if you're a wiccan, since you have passive sleep from the pixie. If you time the double whammy sleep/sleep to hit at the same time as the pixie, you strip insomnia, put them to sleep, and strip kafe. There's also the neat trick that Narsrim showed me before Doublewhammy existed, where you draw a sleep hex, get your pooka to take control of someone, then wait for the pixie to hit and reflexively force the person to sleep with the pooka and throw the sleep hex. If your lag is less than theirs, you'll send the pooka forced sleep command before their insomnia command goes through, putting them to sleep, and then the sleep hex strips kafe.
But for a nihilist, it isn't really viable.

With good use of addiction hexes, it's possible.
How can those two terms even be in the same sentence? o_O

Yeah, I've considered doing that. Need to try it out one of these days but I'm not sure if I have a good enough ping.

Addiction was upgraded since you left. It now doubles sip balance.

Wait...who said the hexaura + room hexes thing was a bug? If it is, it's been that way (and the admin have known about it) at least since hexaura was switched around to be the trans skill. Have the admin actually said if it is a bug?

I thought it used to work differently, and it was purposefully changed to the way it is now. It used to be that you left your hexes behind if you entered a room with hexes in it, and hexaura dropped, requiring another 10p to put it back up again (I think?), right?

Yes, this was my understanding of it too. I don't even remember how hexaura acted before...I think you kept the defense, but randomly left a few hexes behind...I never used hexaura much before this fix was put in. Regardless, the problem was that hexaura became worthless if anyone drew hexes in the room, you would lose your combo, so this fix was put in to make it work properly. I was just curious if there was any indication I had missed that this was actually a bug...

It was later changed so that people could draw their own set of 6 hexes, nullifying that issue. It's supposed to cap at 6 hexes for one person in a room.

That doesn't necessarily make the previous fix a bug. The admin were told about it a long time ago and have chosen not to fix it so far, which leads me to believe that drawing the hexes and having hexaura up is actually not bug abuse. I don't know that for sure, but I know I used it several times as well.

Keep in mind that hexes uses equilibrium. It's a great addition for a mugwump, but then again, so is tarot. Not to mention that it can get kind of expensive if doublewhammy still costs power. PLus people are going to expect most of the comboes you toss at them. Just weigh it up really - utility and some offense, or pure offense? Tarot also costs significant amounts of gold. Keep in mind also that Tarot has some really, really great cards for escape and offense, as well.
