Then give us Roundhouse kick... in Athletics
RoundhouseKick
All of your personal enemies on any planes die. When they are not in the realms they die the moment they enter. You can only do this action once every second.

When Chuck Norris jumps in a pool, Chuck Norris doesn't get wet.
The water gets Chuck Norris.

Now, my concern is simply this. Bards are the best influencers in the game...and we can witness that they are amazing debaters/influencers, it makes sense that they should make up for it by being weak in the only competitive area of the game left that is affected by archetype: one-on-one combat.
Firstly, influencing is not affected by archetype. All archetypes have boosts to influencing. Druids/Mages have Influence, Psionics have IronWill, Telepaths have Hivemind, Stag users have Greenman, Totems users have Sun, HighMagic has Netzach, Night users have Penumbra, Astrology users have Lion, Bards get BardicPresence, Spiritsingers have PaleBeauty, Sacraments users have Emissary, Necromancy users have Mastery and Crow users have Cloak. The only way you can have nothing to help influence is to be a LowMagic Tracking Warrior. And don't forget that Influence and Dramatics are both common skillsets.
Secondly, even if bards were somehow the best influencers in Lusternia, what does that mean? Influencing only does two things. Exp-bashing (and gold if you beg), and village revolts.
- Influencing for bashing requires you to place lessons in Influence. Influence as a skillset is almost useless for anything else. Meaning, placing lessons in Influence yields only better bashing and barely anything else, unlike the guild damage-boosting skillsets like Druidry, Knighthood, Wicca, x-mancy and x-lism. And another thing is that hardly anything which help bashing helps influence-bashing. No 'War blessing' for influencing, personal shrine powers are useless, most of the constructs are useless, exp-loss prevention skills are useless.
- Good influencing is nice for village revolts, but how often do they happen? Are village revolts that important? And in un-peaced revolts, you still have to be decent in combat or be able to campaign for sanctuary.
And debating. It something which mostly deals only with village influence. And you don't even gain anything personally when you win. No exp, no gold (you actually lose gold through bromide sips). Yes, you can shatter people. Can you defend with debating? Raid and grief with debating? The only exception I can think of to that might be MindBurst users.
Try defending when more than a third of your lessons are in Influence and Dramatics.
