what...?? toadcurse is the only viable kill for the upper levels. it's already not even guaranteed, you can't scry a toad to see where they are so those with gems can get out easy. they can move two rooms to any one stomp so it's very easy to lose them, it's got a flipping cure. wielding it the wand means you give up your shield or athame, if you give up the shield you lose riposte. it can only be done indoors and ground elevation so a toad in the tree goes away free from icewalls. you already pay 300 credits to get toadcurse and then another 400 for the wand so 700 to make a kill easier, but still not guaranteed because someone can cure it.

I believe you're overlooking why toadcurse works like it does.

It works like it does for flavor(It's one of the very few semi-perminate 'curses' out there, I think it's cool that we have 'witches' living in forests that curse people who cross them), not because wiccan's were never intended to kill with the skill. I don't know how many times I've heard the admin say, "don't suggest skill-clone ideas". Toadcurse isn't an Absolve clone for that main reason.

Edit:The wand of fire/ice shouldn't be made into a normal artifact though, for the same reason the Everlasting vials shouldn't be made into normal artifacts.

yeah it has great flavor. but the wand of fire and ice aren't nearly as useful as an everlasting vial. they're not even as useful to arti vials or half the things offer. they're like all the tradeskill arties, but they help out wiccans specifically for the most part. that and I love to raise icewalls everywhere...
