Most likely, he will continue doing so until the skill is changed. Granted, it is a cheap skill that most people in Lusternia would never use. I am fully behind the idea that the shield should not be destroyed completely (just made unusable), and can be repaired by a smith.

I'd be fine with this. We tried envoying that the skill be removed entirely - rejected. I personally don't think the skill has any use in today's combat environment. It's being used to cheaply destroy someone's property because they seemingly lack the ability to cause the same distress through death.

Ohhh no, you finally got a kill on me. you also hit with Double Aeon, Fooled, with anorexia on first strike. the system attempted to cure it, but I was striking at you at the same time, so my strikes went through and cancelled my curing, then the Handmaiden hit me with PAralysis and for some reason I had that under a different curing function (fixed now) so it tried to cure that while I was aeoned, so it slowed my curing anorexia and aeon. After I cured both, I was to messed up to escape with you using quicken/absolve.

It's ok, I just liched, everyone has a lucky day kiddo. I mean hey, I finally got that shield of yours...and you finally pulled a lucky kill on me. We can both be happy.

No, it was just one. Ethelon's curing is absolutely terrible, which is the real reason he died so easily, not because I got 'lucky'. She spammed focus mind, probably 20 times in that little short time period, killing his mana, which directly killed him. Also, not to further knock his curing, but there was about a second and a half in between the first tarot throw and the angel attacking...so he actually had plenty of time to cure it.
