What are the banners going to be used for? And by banner do you mean like one of those rectangles with words and pictures in it?

Like ad banners, they give examples on the contest page of different ones.

You don't need artistic skill. Nab yourself a banner maker program and use the art from the IRE websites.

I've actually done a really nice sketch for my first banner, can't wait to finish colouring it. Have a pretty great idea for a second one too, whoo! Stupid banners on the ire site have all men in it, psh. My banners are only going to have women in them!

Oi I still can't think of any good ideas :S The current example IRE banners look so sleek and professional too!

I've submitted a couple, but I kind of goofed my animated one up. I hosted it on my own hosting, and submitted the link to the file, but I also attached it to the email. Unfortunatly...the one I attached to the email had been edited once, and I forgot about it and it ended up being twice the size limit.

Hopefully they look at the link. But oh well, I have a few more ideas. And this might inspire me to learn Flash instead of always using Adobe Image Ready.

I agree about the current examples, especially the very top one. It's extremely professional well designed. I just can't achieve that kind of...grandeur...using imageready.

Ya, don't complain about Feyrll entering , they are taking any and all they like, not just the 'top x'. Here's a quote:

Try using either Gimp or Fauxto. Gimp is a freeware alternative to photoshop that is nearly as good and Fauxto is a beta Flash web-based alternative to Photoshop that is showing a lot of promise.
