I've polled ten close friends and gotten basically evenly-spread votes. It's now your turn to decide!
Most of my class choices are straightforward. I need a social studies elective. I waited too long to register, so all of the cool stuff is gone now. There are three choices that don't conflict with the classes that I need to be taking.
Urban Latin America does not have an entry. It's a "special topics" class (meaning it's something that a teacher decided would be cool to try for a semester) that will be completely Internet mediated. While being over the 'Net takes care of the awkwardness of being the only white guy in the room, I've had bad experience with Internet classes before.

One of the teacher reviews to the Urban Studies teacher said that his discussion groups often leave white upper-middle class people alienated. This could potentially mean rapping, yes.

I've taken latin literature classes, not worth it. You can read up on that stuff on the internet, as they have a large presence there, and really, you won't miss anything since it is ironically such a new field.
I voted for urban studies because I enjoyed my urban studies class, and I competely disliked the unscientific approach to learning about people later in life.

Well, now I don't know what to think.

D) None of the above: quit college before it's too late.
All three classes sound like a bunch of politically correct brainwashing BS. If you take any of them then I would suggest ignoring everything they teach you or at least find authors that argue the opposite of what the teacher indoctrinates you with. If you don't mind getting a bad grade in a class that serves no useful purpose then it may be fun to write an essay based solely on those sorts of sources to challenge the teacher's "thoughts". If you really think you need to go through with this then go with the old person studies.
I actually wish I didn't go to college. I would probably have been further along in my career if I went into professional computer programming right away.

I am pretty happy of what I learnt at college. Then about 90% of my subjects (ignoring the economy related ones and optional english) were about computers, programming and software engineering (as corresponds to a computer sciences degree). Our college system might be different than yours.
