Hello guys
I have been trying IRE games for over a year now and I came back to "serious" mudding beginning of may.
I have been since playing regularly Achaea, Aetolia and Carrion Fields.
In reading Aetolia forums, it seems that Aetolia is kinda dying and also there doesn't seem to be many players online,so I am considering switching to Lusternia and I have a few questions.
1. I am used to the normal type of mapping. How is this planar thing different from the other IRE games?
2.how is the community in Lusternia?

1) Moving is just like in Aetolia, except if you want to go to a different plane. For that you go to a place that connects to a higher plane and type "transverse " they go in the order: Prime, Ethereal, Elemental, Cosmic, Astral. You can tell if a place connects to a higher plane with survey.
2) I like them. There is about 80-100 people on at any given time.

From my minor experience in Aetolia (read: about 35 mins?) movement is exactly the same, since it is all rapture engine. I can only speak for my class (guardian) but we have to "transverse" to move between planes of existance. Other classes do it differently. Guardians move almost instantly between the prime(main world) plane and the cosmic plane of our city; while Mages move in a similar manner from the prime plane to the elemental plane of our chosen abode. I have no idea how druids or wiccans do it... but it should be similiar
I love Lusternia, and just keep finding reasons to still play. I'm glad you're enjoying it; Welcome!

1. Already answered
2. Let's see..
Playing time: 80-120 at peak times, at least around 60-70 at most times (20 at non-peak when most US gamers are alseep).
Forums: are decently moderated, and after experiecing a little bit of Imperian, we do have a good thing here.
Stealing: is not encouraged or well looked upon. You will get into trouble with a lot of players here.

How many rooms per plane?
How many rooms per plane?

I realy don't feel like counting that many rooms. Here's a map off all of the planes:

About 1500 new rooms raised our overall total by about 10%, so, go off of that.

Thank you.That helps

How many rooms per plane?
Well.... On the Ethereal plane, Etherwilde, Etherglom and Faethorn are about the size of your average city.. a little smaller perhaps..
On Elemental plane, Water and Earth are quite large... the size of a normal bashing ground, perhaps
On Cosmic plane... Nil and Celestial are also the size of a City..
On Astral... it's rather large... there's 12 spheres floating around (think 12 marbels floating in space.. each sphere named after the zodiac) and each sphere has around 15 rooms each or so...
That's your basic there... Each City and Each commune has control over some territories... Serenwilde over Etherwilde... Glomdoring over Etherglom... Celest over Water and Celestia... Magnagora over Earth and Nil...
You access them via your nexus (one of the Huge Nexus Trees in the forests, the Pool of Stars in Celest and the Megalith of Doom in Magnagora)... you get them by transversing into the planes... think Star Trek teleportation...
Besides that... it's rather similar to Aetolia
Now.. then there's the Aetherways... but those are more complicated.. you'll learn about later IG... but as a novice you shouldn't worry with them... but I can tell you that there's more than 400 rooms I believe...

Thank you guys
And I just began Lusternia.
having discovered the maps for each of IRE muds, I am for sure sticking around.
During my previous tries, I didn't stick cause I couldn't figure where I was and such.
Now that I have those maps, feels good

I orgingally thought that each plane was going to be a copy of the prime plane, but its not that way at all. Rather each plane is condensed to be its own little area specific to some theme.
