it's awesome with no magic defenses. it sucks completely with even a bit. i can't even touch a moonuser, which means I can't hurt a nightuser not to mention furrikin or lucidians. it's like trying to kick a kephera with splendors to death. Against urazial I whip out my axe and swing away cause it's better than a moonburst.

Moonburst is +5% per +1 int, methinks. Thus titan/demi moondancers get rather powerful bursts

yeah but we're the only ones with a pure magic damage right? maybe not? everyone else gets some sort of other damage source that's still partly magical. I mean I'd rather not have the druid's cudgel cause that's pitiful at best.

Int's effect on nightkiss seems to be extremely minimal - as I recall, I did 60 more damage with it when I had +1 int.

umm that's a lot? 10% of a 1k hit is 100 so that's a 6% increase if you do 1000. Course I have no idea what kind of damage you do or who you teseted that on. but that's what you can expect from moonburst's 5% increase.

And Ildaudid Nature Curse is a joke. There was a time when you couldn't even one-shot a weevil with it (the black rat equivalent). That might have been changed though, I don't know.

There was a time when you -could- one shot any weevil with it, then they buffed weevils/rats, I believe.
And yeah, as a Moondancer Furrikin, I could probably have regened the Moonbursts from a mugwump, if I had transed Magic. With inept Magic, I believe it was Narsrim that hit me for something like 300.

Magic sourced is different from magic damage type.
Aqua staff is magic sourced, with no magic damage type. My damage is modified directly by my int.

Uh, so saying "Oh, I can only kill with moonburst" because he said Toadcurse isn't an insta isn't twisting his words?
You can kill a Toad in at max two stomps. So, you can very well kill someone with Toadcurse and follow up stomping.
So, either you formulated it poorly, OR you are just twisting his words. Hohum. ^^

i know? Maybe i just put that bad. I was just saying how I wouldn't want a cudgel, they're magic sourced but i think they're 50/50 cutting and blunt or something close.
@Ash she also said how toads can hop two rooms per stomp. They also get two rooms initially after you toadcurse, it's mostly luck if you find them or absurdly quick squinting.

Tested on a Faeling, with no defenses against cold/asphyxation. I had 15 intelligence to begin with, all damage boosts as listed. Not sure why the numbers are slightly skewed. +1 Intelligence should add 5%, and Shadow adds 10%, as far as I know. Not sure about how damage resistance works (5% weakness from Astrology sphere).

Not sure about Choke, but a stolen shadow (usually) makes Stomp a 1-hit kill.
