Laws of proportion doesn't apply to the races in most regards. Its fantasy after all.

Trill are not 5.33 feet tall. It says right there in the racialdesc that they are quite tall, but of a very light build. Same with Elfen, AFAIK. The size and height don't always correspond directly.

Also, I'm not sure if all the ones you have as six feet are really six feet, assuming the humans in Lusternia are the same average height as humans Eye Arr Elle. 5.5-5.8 might be a more realistic average.

In a world where faelings and furrikin and mugwumps are so prevelent, who's to say that 5.5 feet isn't quite tall, relatively speaking? dry.gif

There are too many expections to this chart to make it a common one. Tae'dae are more-or-less of human height, only extremely heavy. Elfen are of human height, they have 11 size because they're light and willowy. Trill are taller than humans, they have size 10 because of their hollow bones. And so on, and so on...

The best thing we can do is to get descriptions of generic denizens, and see if it mentions their height.

Cuber has it right I think. Size is a generic term for height AND girth.

I believe the faelings in Serenwilde's Commune are described as being about three feet tall, though I can't log in right now to check.

My system actually changes my description anytime I get Enlarged or Diminished, based on a roughly 6" size table. I was really bored one day. tongue.gif

Humans in Lusternia can interbreed with Igashos, Krokani, Orclachs etc as noted in their racial description. As well as all the other races I'd imagine.. soo.. I'd say the actual average of a human in Lusternia would require a Basin wide study of humans and their heritage. Heh. But, judging by the majority of the humans I see.. I'd lean more towards them being actually higher then 6'0 average. At least for males.

Estarra's stated in the past that 1 point of size = 6 inches.

No matter what you guys decide internally, that's still the official stance.

And most humans male humans being taller than six feet is probably due to them being "above average". An average person really wouldn't be going through the Portal, right? Why not be above average in height, too? Most male-human-above-six-feet players, in real life, are probably either taller than six feet or shorter and want to be, let's not forget that. :P

Looking something like a cross between a pixie and an elfen, this female faeling
stands just under three feet tall. Large colourful wings sprout from her back,
flapping to keep her floating above the ground. She wears a bright pink dress,
with colourful flowers dotted on the sleeves. Her long golden hair is also
filled with flowers, surrounding a face that never seems to stop smiling.
A female faeling exudes a quiet confidence.

That faeling desc I was talking about earlier.

I think Viravain got it wrong. I've yet to see Estarra state that 1 point of size = half a feet. If anything, she explicitly stated that size is NOT directly proportional to actual height.

I could be mistaken here, but I seriously doubt it. If you can find Estarra's post stating that, feel free to make the link and publically humiliate me!

Until then, I'll direct you to HELP TRILL:

QUOTE
4.14.17 The Trill Race

Descended from the Elder Goddess Trillillial, the trill are a race of
bird-like humanoids. They are very graceful and quite tall (though their
hollow bones make them rather delicate).
They have beautiful feathered
wings, giving them the ability to fly, and the feathers of which range
from a soft silver to more robust browns. No trill grows hair on their
head, rather they have a cap of downy feathers. Trills prefer high
mountain ranges where their forebears built great nests. The lucidian and
the trills were the primary builders of Hallifax (which was lost in time
during the Taint Wars), which was a city in the clouds, an architectural
wonder of crystal spires and aeromantic engineering.

STATISTICS:
Strength : 12 Dexterity : 14 Constitution: 11
Intelligence: 14 Charisma : 13 Size : 10

5 feet is not "quite tall" no matter how you look at it.

EDIT: Corrected the number. Brain fart.

You are mistaken, actually.

As my first witness, I call Shiribot to the stand.

I actually decided to go get it myself.

A simple forum search for posts by Estarra mentioning the word "inches" yields...

Here it is:

QUOTE
I imagine each point of the size stat to be approximately 6 inches.

I hope this makes matematically-anal people all happy and warm in the inside now? Cheers, size is ONLY dependant on height, and not on girth, not at all. Also, every member of the same race has the same exact size. All because Estarra said she "imagines" it is like that. Because if an admin imagines something, it is the only appropriate point of view.

EDIT: What's up with people HAVING to equate stats to some other, more measurable in an IC way things? Is common sense not enough?

Also, if I play a really small human, does it mean I can get 11 or 10 as default size?

Venom cartridge empty. Bah. And I was just getting started.
