I've updated the OP to reflect the town/scum status of the dead people.
Okin2007-06-29 04:30:36
Oh, so there -are- two dead scum. Well, there were still fourteen players, so I'm not ruling out two surviving scum in my mind.

I find it interesting you are so sure there are two scum remaining. You role claim is odd though considering the bones character in comparison to the night power you stated and it might just be requiem who chooses not to give the character names to partners though I know that Quidgyboo did, I was actually wondering if Amarysse was some form of vampire character (angel for town/Darla for mafia or something like that) and it could be considered quite convenient that your partner is the one that we can't confirm the identity of.
Shayle does seem way to hesitant on her role claim. However I can confirm that when I investigated Anae she turned up as Ensign Annonymous and on the side of good, Bali was Ensign Expendable (sorry for saying annonymous before just thought I had anaes result not balis and didn't notice the name) who can speak with Anae during the night and wins with the town. If I have some form of derrangement it is odd because Bali claimed before I mentioned it.
Either way right now most of the roles I know of make more sense than yours.
Okin2007-06-29 08:37:45
@Saran
I don't even know what show I'm from, so I can't really defend the plausibility of my character/power combination. Supposedly, as FBI partners, Amarysse and I had developed an innate trust of one another, and could therefore... etc.
I am in no way sure that there are two scum remaining - I'm just not ruling out the possibility given the fact that this game had more than the normal amount of players and that there haven't been any other 'factions' so far - like, there's no cult, or opposing mafia families or anything. I think it's within the realm of plausibility that there's two surviving scum, and I wouldn't put it past requiem to include a Godfather role. I'm not saying I think this is what's going on - I've not voted for either of you - because I'm still suspicious of Shayle, but this possibility is what is keeping me from voting for Shayle at this moment.

Okay!
Having had people OTHER than Bali tell me I should say my role, I will!
My character is Alma Hodge of the show Desperate Housewives. (And yes, I wondered what requiem was trying to say with such a role!) I'm from the town, and I don't have any special powers that I can garner from my PM, unless I'm an idiot and just can't tell, and I am fairly sure I am not an idiot.
I have never seen the show, but I read about this character on Wikipedia, and I swear requiem is making some underhanded jab at me for being old (and apparently desperate.)

Oh, and I forgot to add, and I'm not sure I'm supposed to post this, but I have to go and don't have time to worry about if I'm doing the right thing!
I'm going away for the weekend in about...a half hour. I'll be back this Sunday around 8pm EST, and I don't have time to figure out what time that is GMT!

I'm tempted to vote for shayle simply because the Alma Hodge character isn't the greatest example of mental stability similar to a less cool sylar.
The Alma Hodge character faked suicide and raped a drugged man in her little part of the story, It's up to the rest of you if you think that should have some bearing on the decision but of all the role claims this character seems the most likely to be scum *shrug* she was also killed in her show which is a trait she shares with Sylar.
Chad Shelten is the exception but if what I can find about the show he is from is true, he is an internal affairs detective, He has died twice in his show (just scanned the summaries I could find) and I believe he was also a villan.
If we take that at face value, the scum are villan-type characters in their show then I would suggest Alma Hodge does fit that build somewhat.

One small curiosity about the "Booth" role claim from Okin is that the character is a detective who works with a Forensic anthropologist to solve murders the entire show is about investigating the bones of others hence my curiosity as to your night power. The mason thing does work with the roles however they also seriously lend themselves to being investigators... it's like their thing.
((I'm also seriously curious about why Amarysse is simply missing and still hasn't turned up))

OK, based on that barely-plausible role claim, it seems like there are two possibilities to me:
Either:
Shayle is lying, and is the only remaining scum
OR
Bali and Saran are lying, and are the two remaining mafia.
I'm -inclined- to believe Shayle is the only remaining scum. If I had to pick one, that's what I would go with. However:
Assume Shayle is the only remaining scum. If we lynch her now, we win. If we lynch one of Bali/Saran, we lose one town (4 town, 1 scum) and then she kills someone (3 town, 1 scum) and we lynch her tomorrow. We still win.
Now, assume, Bali/Saran are scum. We lynch Shayle now (3 town, 2 scum) and they kill someone overnight (2 town, 2 scum) and we lose. If we lynch one of them now, we'll see the scum in their roles - we win.
We're sitting pretty well here, at the moment. Counterintuitive as it seems, the only way we could possibly lose at this point is if we lynch Shayle. If we lynch Bali/Saran, we absolutely will not lose even though they're most likely town. Even if they're town, which I think they ARE, lynching one only confirms that we're on the right track, and we can lynch Shayle tomorrow. If we lynch Shayle right now, we will probably win, but that's not good enough.
Based on the above reasoning, I humbly request that Bali takes one for the team. If he's town, he still wins even though he's dead. Vote: Bali
Shayle, Othero, Anae, Saran?

Erm interesting, I know you are wrong in suggesting I am scum. I also find it quite humerous you are suggesting someone else take one for the team when you are one of the ones who has holes in your role claim.
Your role claim depends on us believing you about something we can never prove unless I survive the night and investigate you.
Anae and Bali just need to believe me when I tell them their roles which I couldn't know unless I was an investigator, and we know that all three of us can't be mafia because you would have lost already.
If we lynch one of the three of us and either Othero (still a possibility) or You are the remaining mafia then we lose.
VOTE: SHAYLE I don't believe my team has given me false information and as I stated above Shayles role claim has many things in common with the other known scum.
Saran2007-06-29 16:12:23
This places Shayle on 3 votes and Bali on 2 now.
It's effectively up to othero, Anae can talk to Bali at night so I would find it quite amazing if she actually voted for him. Leaving this either up to a no lynch or a deadline

Shayle's roleclaim is weak. Either the role is completely fabricated, or she isn't being completely truthful about the role. Alma Hodge is no saint. In fact, she's a scheming housewife who is also a rapist. >.>
There is alot of truth to that. Could Okin be defending Shayle? It almost seems like he is. Anyways, it doesn't matter now. Maybe Okin's roleclaim was just so convincing and convenient it temporarily made me lose my good judgement. It goes without saying, but Okin could be playing a good scum game. He knows if Shayle goes down and there are more scum left, he's next.
As for the people who think I'm scum, (or the scum voting to get rid of me), ask yourself this. Do you really think I'm smart enough to play as aggresively as I have the past few days and turn out to be scum? Yeah right. People keep implying Saran/Bali because I can confirm Saran and he can confirm me. Well, Anae can also confirm Saran. That's 3 people confirming each other.
Anyways, it's upto Othero now.

That's a lynch. Shayle was Alma Hodge (scum). It's now Night 3. PM me you roles, nocturnal people.
I'm not going to set a precise deadline, mostly because my system is updating (just installed Fedora 7 wheeee!) and slow. So just assume that it's about 3 days from now.

Ok, wtf
I investigated Okin last night and it confirmed what he claimed (btw you were told Amarysses character name 'Bones') and it states he's not a doctor, but it also mentioned something about being able to track people down.
So this is a little messed up, I've investigated everyone still in the game and you all have the same win condition. If othero hadn't died last night I would have suggested Requiem was just letting us go till we killed each other off.
So unfortunately I have to now rely on something else.
Okin could possibly have gained a derrangement and if the tracking people down thing is something he's used it may have turned to murder.
I may also just see everyone as town regardless of their role. If we are to go off what the roles we have are, only Okin and I have one that allows us to go to someone during the night. Last night I investigated him, so if he used a night power that was turned on itself he could be our last threat.
Bali or Anae could equally be scum but neither had a night power other than communicating with each other. If they were cult, cult don't normally have abilities that kill at night do they?

I did not suspect this...
Sure, Othero was confirmed town and everyone knew it, but he already used his power. He wasn't a threat. I would have guessed the scum (assuming there is only one left, otherwise, anything I say is pointless) would have targetted Saran or Me. Reasons being A: Saran said he was a Doctor and Investigator...you don't leave that sort of power unchecked. B: Silencing my big mouth, I already urged the folks on to kill one scum, maybe they think I'm not a threat?
The scum hit on Othero brings several concerns to mind:
1. The person might just be clueless.
2. The person is trying to keep a low profile, and vote for someone inconsequential to avoid attention.
3. The person could be trying to get the known town "team" to question each other.
Anae hasn't been completely forth coming with me. Once she told me "I don't think it would be a good idea for me to tell you my role" Granted, I was probably being creepy and mysterious in tells because I didn't know about "masons".
Saran, I have a question for you. You say your role is House MD, Doctor and Investigator. You have been very forthcoming about your investigating powers but what are your doctor powers? And why haven't you used them? And I thought your investigating powers told you if the person was town/scum?
I knew that if we lynched Shayle (and she WAS scum, just like I predicted) our town "team" would logically go after Okin next, because he didn't fit into our little circle of weirdness that I don't completely trust myself. I really want to hear what Okin has to say about Saran's claims.
This is obviously the most important day of the game. Everyone should have the chance to make their rounds before people start voting.
