@Iridiel: EEP! Totally panicked when I read the first of your two posts *minor heart attack*
Daganev2007-06-05 15:29:09
Oh, and if the town is to have any hope of winning, the first day better take a long time.
Unknown2007-06-05 15:30:27
Wait, Daganev, do you blow up during the day or the night?

Yeah, the games take ages.
Umm, random votes on Day One are how we get information. Sticking to a particular vote on Day One, a few RL days into a game, is not scummy. You just crossed some internal sense-demanding line.

Vote: Daganev

Okin, read what Shiri said again.

He'd rather have a quick instant random lynch, than have a series of random votes that helps gather information. See, I knew you'd vote for me, you always do smile.gif

I had a minor heart attack too!

@Daganev: Would tell you to prove that but... Better don't explode.

Lets have the mafia worry about that?

Unvote: Bali Vote:Okin

Two reasons for this. 1. It's pointless leaving my vote on Bali at the moment if I'm the only one on him. I'd rather put pressure on someone to try and get info.
2. I think there's only so much info you can get on the first day and I'd like to start to see night roll around.

unvote daganev

Good enough for me for now, though it sounds like a direct quote from the mod which is generally against the rules. No quoting mods!

Oh wait I'm not running this show.

Vote Othero

"I'd like to start to see night roll around"? Maybe I'm misunderstanding what you said but it's a fairly scummy thing to want night to come, even if it is only the first day. We're not stagnating yet, no need to push to night.

Just pointing out that Anae also voted to end this day, now for tafe biggrin.gif

((oh btw I challenge the sacrifice yourself thing simply because I don't remember ted ever being harmed in the explosions he creates and neither was future peter tongue.gif))
Unknown2007-06-05 23:29:07
She did? I thought she put the seventh vote and then Iridiel thought she had put the eigth but corrected herself.

Or did I miss something?

I think you're correct there.

I was thinking the same thing myself actually. I was tempted to write the mod an angry letter, but since I got a heroes character, I thought I would count my blessings.
Anae2007-06-06 00:25:34
Yes, I did vote to end the day

Unvote: Daganev

the day doesn't look like it'll be ending soon, so I'll wait before voting again...

meh, it's not like it really matters unless it does

hehe yeah

Anyway I'm not opposed to the day ending but I just thought it looked sus when Anae put daganev in that precarious(sp?) position with the reasoning she gave
Shiri2007-06-06 00:50:02
I think the point is to put him in a precarious position (even if she didn't know that).

Anyway, Daganev's roleclaim is at least semi-believable as others have commented, but I'll address some of what he said yesterday anyway. Yes, looking for scummy trends is better than a random vote in one sense. However, you were actually looking for a NON-scummy voting pattern, and then being all defensive when you got called on it. That makes you look more scummy (still not convinced here) than doing the aforementioned random voting like everyone else happens to be doing in the absence of any actual better evidence. Therefore in a sense it makes more sense to vote for you than to go back to random voting...which is what I'll keep doing for now until I get a better target. Especially given the sketchiness of your roleclaim, although that admittedly could have been Requiem being unfamiliar or taking liberties for the sake of mechanics. (mechanics > roleplay arrrr)
Shiri2007-06-06 00:51:53
Not an edit if this gets conglutinated: I'll look for one of those threads later (they're a pain to find and I need to go hunting)
Unknown2007-06-06 01:09:48
I just ment that I belive that at this point starting to make our way twords night will help. Not imediatly though. At the least if we pile on people we can try and get more roll calls.
Unknown2007-06-06 04:12:39
We don't want too many roleclaims, it just gives the scum targets to go after and confuses our doctor(s) over who they should protect.
Daganev2007-06-06 06:35:44
I've always been told that scum bandwagon, and that its the best strategy for them to bandwagon. If you are saying it is the opposite, then we can use that information too.
Unknown2007-06-06 06:43:09
Are you addressing me?
