Would it be possible to modify the cityfavour/guildfavour command so that the person giving the favour can adjust its strength? E.g. GUILDFAVOUR 5 PERSON would give them a guild favour equivalent to the favour of a rank 5 person. Of course, the adjusted favour should only be able to take on the strength of a lower rank. Sometimes people do something that stands out and deserves merit and you want to show them your appreciation, but at the same time their actions aren't that exceptional as to warrant a full promotion to the next rank. I think it'd be more substantial than a simple 'Thank you' but also cheaper than handing out gold/credits.

This would be nice.

Except that regularly, a level six cf won't actually putyou right up to the next rank.

I like the idea, would also mean GR19's don't pose as much of an issue with their gfing compared to a normal undersec/sec and would require more honest gf/cfs too.

I don't like the idea. As it stands from my experiance, people can be nazis about giving guild or city/commune favours as it is.
Sometimes its that one guild favour from a ranked 19 member that gets you what you really deserve. Giving people the power to turn down the power of their favours would make it even more difficult for someone to get the ranks they deserve, and think about it, how often is someone really going to deserve the favour of someone at ranked 19? Not very often, so 95% of the favours given would be cut down to the equivilent of a level 5 favour.

I agree with this. Favours should be given out more freely than they are now anyway. Younger members might do something small that warrants a smaller favour, and in those cases I would just suggest finding a GR 5 or so who can favour them for it. In most cases, it's better to just give them the big favour. It's not as if that new guild rank is suddenly going to give them too much power. People usually deserve more guildfavours than they guild, just think of it as making up for those that were missed.
