From the experience display thread. Estarra asked for better, more Lusternia-like SCORE displays. This is what a current SCORE looks like:

CODE
Prefix Name Suffix
Sex    : Male          Race      : Illithoid
  Level  : 28 (0%)       Rank      : Exceptional
  Health : 1672/1672     Endurance : 7260/7260
  Mana   : 1504/1504     Willpower : 6420/6420
  Ego    : 1040/1000     Reserves  : 10%
  Karma  : 19%           Esteem    : 0%
You stand tall as a proud member of the Commune
You have reached the rank of 'Rank' in your commune.
You are Rank in the Guild
You are a member of the Cartel
You are a Explorer Rank
Your mentor is Person
You are Age years old, having been born on the Birthdate.

This is my proposal:

what does "from last gain" mean?

Also, I don't think theres enough info in there personally. Things like current power should be in there as well, karma blessing/curses, Also , I don't like how the current layout makes Esteem look like a function of karma.
Verithrax2007-06-06 18:42:31
"From last gain" would be experienced gained from the last experience gain... last mob killed, last quest, last successful influence, etc.

Neither layout in any way makes Esteem seem like a "function" of Karma. But current power isn't a bad idea.

Other than that, I don't really see anything wrong with Verithrax's layout.
Noola2007-06-06 19:04:25
And mabey make the Cartels listing be Clans/Cartels.
Daganev2007-06-06 19:05:39
Actually, I've gotten many questions wondering how they are connected, and how ego relates to the reserves.

Also , if they are changing things , I'd really like score and stat to be combined, I've always hated seperate "charachter sheets" when they aren't necessary.
Unknown2007-06-06 19:06:09
Also, maybe cut out the "Totemist blademaster artisan" part. It seems sort of redundant and space-consuming.

EDIT: And possibly add your proteges (if any) in there as well, along with the mentor.

Better, Daganev?

Thats a bit closer.
Noola2007-06-06 19:51:28
Why have the Power: 10? That shows up in the prompt anyway, and the Karma and Upkeep (What is this? How much you need to keep your Karma Blessing?) look kind of squished. If you get rid of the Power, it'd look better, imo.

d'oh forgot the slash, should have been 10/10 Health mana, ego and willpower all show up in your prompt also. Edited above

What's wrong with having the class show along with race in the line? Obviously most people wouldn't have such a long class line, it would mostly be something like "Female Faeling Druid Ecologist"

Ecologist != class. It's a skillset.
Verithrax2007-06-06 21:13:07
There are no classes in Lusternia, but rather archetypes. "Ecologist" modifies the original "Druid" archetype. Kinda like how "master" modifies "Viscanti." Examples:

Guardian - Guardian archetype with no specializations.
Nihilist - Nihilist with no third skill.
Nihilist Hexen - Nihilist with Hexes.

Mage - Newbie mage.
Aquamancer Psion - Aquamancer with Psionics as a third choice.
Aquamancer Telekinetic - Aquamancer with Telekinetics.

Druid - Plain druid.
Druid Hunter of Stag - Hartstone with Hunting.
Druid Runist of Crow - Blacktalon with Runes.

Note that anything that isn't a choice is excised; for example, a mage will never be "Mage Illusionist" because that'd be redundant, but a bard can be a "Bard Illusionist" or a "Bard Charmer" (With Glamours).
Forren2007-06-06 21:26:28
Hmm, it's a nice RP idea for score.

However - there are more choices available for other classes. Warriors can have both high and low magic as well multiple tertiary skills - one or two org specific and Tracking, not to mention their regular archetypes (BC, BM, PB, AL). You'd have to decide what truly defines a character in this manner.
Shorlen2007-06-06 21:35:57
I'd say leave off the proteges, just because the list is of arbitrary, and sometimes overly lengthy, length. I think I had fifteen, fourteen of whom didn't play anymore? That would look like a mess on the proposed score card, and be superflious information I honestly didn't care about, and certanily didn't want to see every single time I typed SCORE =P
Verithrax2007-06-06 21:37:46
The format would be, more or less:

Magic type is either "low magic" or "high magic," or an appropriate descriptor for each. This is excised for classes which require either type of magic (wiccans, druids, guardians and mages) and for characters with no lessons in either one.

Primary is the primary skill, or archetype name. For a character without a primary skill specialization, it's his archetype; thus a warrior that hasn't specialised is simply "warrior", while a warrior specialised in Axelord is an "Axelord". Druids and Wiccans are always "Druids" or "Wiccans", even if they don't have Druidry or Wicca yet; or maybe they can be called just "naturalists" or another appropriate descriptive term, since skills-wise a newbie Druid is identical to a newbie Wiccan.

Secondary and Tertiary are any skills which are chosen; any skill is excised if there isn't a choice involved (All bards are illusionists, so there's no point to that being mentioned.) All druids and wiccans have totems, so that's not mentioned; but it's mentioned for warriors. You'll notice that no class has a choice on both secondary and tertiary skills, so only one of those descriptors would ever come up.

"Organization-defining" replaces Totemist and Ritualist when someone specialises; for warriors, this means they'll go from "Warrior Totemist" to "Warrior of Crow", or from "Warrior Ritualist" to "Warrior of the Light" when they specialise; same goes for druids and wiccans: "Wiccan Hexen of the Night", for example, or "Druid Ecologist of Stag".

Only list proteges that are listed as "active" then.

I thought mages have choices for both. Or is Dreamweaver, Illusionist, Runes, Psionics all only one option?
