Since this topic started, I've been trying to do the quests on the list.

The only one I've managed to do since then is the Paavik one, although I've nearly figured out Toronada, Tolborolla, Estelbar, and Shanthmark.

The Estelbar one is making me very frustrated. It all seems like guesswork at a certain point.

Well-- try to think about another way to get a little more information. As I remember, it's very tough and requires a guess unless you get *every* bit of info. Then it's not so hard. But as it's hard to tell when you get every single bit...

I'm very proud of the complexity and quality of our quests! OF COURSE, they're easier once you learn them, though many do change so you can't run through them by rote. I'm mildly insulted by Kharaen's comments. Personally, I think we go out of our way to make many of the quests here as replayable as possible, which frankly is difficult and is a hassle but one we do anyway. If another MUD does quests better than we do, feel free to post their tricks.

Anyway, think of the difficulty level as a measure of how hard the quest is FOR THE FIRST TIME. Presumably, a quest list is for those who are looking to see what new quests to try out, not to recap a list for people who have already done them.

The Morgfyre Quest is by far the neatest quest, not because of difficulty or anything, but because it involves mixing a quest (with no honors line), receiving karma for it, and doing the induction into Morgfyre's order... The stuff you see when it is completed is just really neat. It is easy to do, and it combines the Order with a quest like thing.

By far I like this quest, even though I am not sure if you can keep doing it over and over for karma (which probably shouldn't happen) but just the niftiness of melding order stuff with a quest I it.
I hope Terentia, Lisaera, The God formally known as Soll, Fain, Vira and the rest ask Morgfyre (cuz he is da bestest!! >.>) to help them make cool little quests for their orders too... It just gives so much more flavour to it!!

Now that I've actually sat down and done the gnome quest, it's a lot easier than I had thought. Only trouble is people grabbing pieces before you get to them; having to wait for quest item respawns is frustrating. Without interference, I just did it again in under 5 minutes. Questing when you have some sort of clue is fun; questing when you don't isn't. I don't even know how to start most quests; greeting someone often lets you know there IS a quest, but beyond that...

I'm a bit disappointed, I was under the impression that doing Morgfyre's quest would get me into the middle circle of His order. Not that I'm not happy I did the quest, it was really cool (plus I found a typo ). I'm just confused because I thought there was something more to it.

Why do people keep viewing it as a 'quest'? It's not a 'quest' damnit! It's a baptism and that's all there is to it, just because it requires you to bring x and y in doesn't make it a 'quest' that should be mentioned here...
