Anyone remember how to get Huyana to take heather from you for reed? I've tried most iterations of I need.. I come in the name of.. etc.

I need a hint or something to start off the Talthos quest. I know how to end it, it seems pretty much like the Shantmark or Project Eternity quests that way, but no idea how to begin it.

I think that quest is still broken, last I tried it there just weren't enough unique clues and the ability to possibly get new ones was based on limited/unobtainable resources because of politics. And some off the resources asked for just don't exist. Also, it resets too fast. (So unless you hold all the villages or are friendly with the village holders with the requisite resources, it's impossible to do). I tried bugging it but kept timing out. The only person I know who got the honours was Talan, but I heard even that was possibly bugged.

Inagin's got the honours too. Thanks anyways!

The best way to start the quest is to greet Oolin (NW quadrant, village leader) enough to be told/start up a "dialogue". You will get told pretty much all you need to do one way or another.

It does have the issue of not giving enough information, and there also seems to be a bug with it recording all the successful actions you fulfill, so on a subsequent attempt you might only finish one of the clusters and then... finish the quest and get the honours line.

It's one of those things I've bugged a few times and apparently can't be pieced together. There's no way to finish the quest except through sheer persistence and guessing, which isn't so bad since everyone who tries a lot generally gets it so long as they don't mind a failure along the way.

PS - Doing different comm quests for all the different comm people is irrelevant. They all can give the same info, so the only thing that matters is volume. You can just kill a heap of rockeaters and you're just as likely to get the same clues as you would if you bothered to get grain/other things.
Lilian2012-07-28 01:52:41
Well, I can get rockeaters and sheep enmasse so that's not an issue. I've greeted all the denizens a bunch of times, but I guess not enough! Thanks for the help :)

When I got the Talthos honors it was horrendously bugged. There weren't enough clues, and sometimes the sequence would start without all 4 thingies being given the right items. It's probably best to just move to another quest. It's similar to the dark side of Orphanage, except that one has never been done and despite my best efforts giving incredibly detailed bug reports, I suspect the quest designer is MIA so it won't be fixed any time soon.

I'm into quests that involve mini-games, like the skeleton herding in Acknor or the rockeater game in I think it was Dairuchi. Does anyone know of or feel like making a list of quests with elements like that?

Edit: Also, the sudoku quest sounds cool.

I made it to my first sudoku quest in the Cay though finding more wouldn't hurt!

Anyone got any hints on the hand of tzaraziko quest?

Start with a healthy dose of masochism and self-loathing, then talk to people in the appropriate camp in the desert for whichever side you want to do.

Is the tainted broadcast center working right? I'm bashing my way through it but none of the gravediggers are dropping quest items...

Sometimes the first part is already done. If the pipes arn't dropping, it usually means they are already fixed and it's stuck on crystals till someone does it. That's what makes people think it's broken when it's not.

Keep in mind that completing the TBC quest broadcasts which org finished it, which is likely to piss people off.
Daereth2012-08-07 16:53:43
It's less about everyone knowing which org did it and more that Globglob shouts the name of the person who completed it. Which means everyone knows you did it and they're coming for you with duct tape and a tire iron.

A mutilated mugwump looks blankly at a phial of clear liquid and drops it to the floor, gibbering insanely to himself.

Been trying to figure this quest out for hours. :( Why do some take it and some don't, and what do I do with them once I have one?

Also, a doctor suggested that a warden might have the bone saw, so I killed one and now am enemied to Alakar which is just great :(
Daereth2012-08-07 17:14:48
You're supposed to influence beg for the saw, not kill them. And the chains are easier than the phials. You're supposed to take the captured mugwump to the doctors once you give them their tools, make sure it's the mugwump they ask for though.
Unknown2012-08-07 17:49:44
I brought the right kind of mugwump but they say...

A gruesome asylum doctor says, "We doctors have already conferred on our recent patients and produced the necessary report... You are free to mutilate the mugwumps as much as you wish."

Right, I forgot to tell you that the torture side has been broken for years. Then again, it may not be bugged anymore and I just don't know how to finish it. But I do know that alakar still wants the report that the doctors won't give you, so it's stuck on that part.
Unknown2012-08-07 17:57:01
-_- Is it possible to get ceria's elixir then? How do you get all the entrails? Just kill all the mugwumps?
Daereth2012-08-07 18:02:23
The entrails are on the ground in the ward level and in hidden places on the staff level. I don't think any of the mugwumps drop them, unless one of the mugwumps happens to pick up the tendons. Which does happen sometimes.
