I guess focusing on a construct is a quest?
Nariah2007-06-18 22:01:07
Yes, focusing on a construct may as well be considered a quest if we include a baptism as one. Gee. Just because it gives karma doesn't mean it should be viewed alongside other quests. It really bugs me when people do that unsure.gif I imagine it was meant to be a 'thing', a ritual or such that's automated as opposed to us doing it with emotes and such, some karma's just a sugaring sad.gif

Even though the eye colour is wrong I still think of an Umbreon every time I see your avatar.

That is all.

I should totally make an Eveekin character. Change my description every time I get hit with different elements. tongue.gif

I hope this isn't giving too much away about any quest... But I'm curious. There are certain quests where it presents you with a logic puzzle of sorts... Mob A can't do this and that, but will hold this. Mob B can do this and that, but can't hold this.

Do those quests change with each attempt? Cause I've been doing one, or attempting to do a pretty long drawn out one that is a big honours quest and want to know whether I should oocly compile my list of FACTS and then just keep attempting till all the pieces of the puzzle are able to be found....

lemme know...

They change every time they're done, yes.

So if nobody does the quest between my work schedules and shifts and crap, then I come back, all the same info can be used?

Like blowjo says, Sumstupidnamedmob should do this stupid action, at this stupid place.

All that stupid stuff stays the same till someone succeeds in the quest?

It probably changes every reset time.

I wish I had the patience to do quests, they seem fun, but between bugs, other people interfering, and me just not being good at them, they just aren't worth the karma they cost me to do tongue.gif

Uuugh wtf.gif

Why do people keep viewing it as a 'quest'? It's not a 'quest' damnit! It's a baptism and that's all there is to it, just because it requires you to bring x and y in doesn't make it a 'quest' that should be mentioned here... sad.gif

Do you have to be in the order to do the fancy bow for the quest baptism? That would explain why I can't figure out the command for it.
Lenalith2007-10-15 05:41:04
For the cultists? Yeah, I'm pretty sure you do. Someone (Vashner?) walked me around to show me the sequence before I thought about joining the order, and I think I tried the emote and you kind of fumble a bit, or something.
Callus2007-10-15 09:40:52
Yes, only members of the Order can do the Ouroboros emote.

Etil'ck Observatory: Easy enough, though make sure Magnagorans don't catch you doing the first part of it (highly unlikely that they will, though). Also watch out for gravediggers. Small gold reward (~1500), compared to the village quests, but good experience and karma. The end part also can only be done during a certain (broad) time period.
-Difficulty: Easy
*Thanks Shamarah!

Pardon my ignorance, but where is this Observatory? I've never heard of it before...
Caffrey2008-01-05 18:54:08
Arthar'rt Observatory

Etil'ck Arthar'rt is a person at the top of the Observatory, NE part of Lusternia.

The Facility quest is an insult to Lusternian questing. Whoever created you, I loathe you from the bottom of my heart.

I gained levels 81 and 82 from doing that quest.... confused.gif

What I really don't like is when I'm -aaalmost- done with a quest and someone kills a mob/ninjas an item/fiddles something that makes it impossible for me to finish, and then they either gank all my work and take the rewards or just run off and thumb their noses at me, or demand payment for the items (I seriously had someone do this to me once). I also hate quests that require huge groups of people (Here's looking at you, Undervault and Xion). I also loathe sudoku puzzles because even with my incredibly fast solve rate, they still take like... 5 minutes to enter everything in and by that time the quest has reset. *shakefist* Quest mobs should be invincible.

As a guide-type thing, I made an alias to use;touch;turn;push;pull;probe an item. I quest and it does all that for me. Saves a few seconds here and there which helps with the quests that are on short reset timers. I also always have a pad of paper and about three or four sharpened pencils at the ready. I also never use BRIEF. Everything is on VERBOSE. Besides, people have put in time to make the ambeince so nice and lovely, we should all take the time to enjoy it. World knows I love it when I get nice comments on the design I've done in my manse.

Hifarae Hills: Short, fun, and interesting. Both of them anyways. One of the puzzles sometimes works contrary to how you think it should work, but is still solvable.

Ok, I've been trying to solve this quest for so long. I'm stuck on the puzzle I think your talking about. What in the world does it mean. I have tried to interact with everything in that room, but nothing changes. Any help?
Rika2008-01-22 20:29:43
Read the plaque? I think it's a plaque.

For every noun in a room description:

Read
Touch
Turn
Push
Pull
Open
Close
Probe {Repeat rttpppoc for every noun in the object's description, if applicable}

Doing that will find 99% of all quest related items. It's amazing.

You forgot Use.

Probe should be the first thing you do to see if it even exists.
In the probe description it should say something like 'It is closed and you cannot see inside' or 'whatever is holding:' if you can open/close it, otherwise don't bother trying.

Mysterious Gnome Experiment (Gnomish Factory): One person would be enough to do this quest, killing vampiric things over and over (they take 3 times longer to die since they're vampiric, meh) is amazingly annoying and boring. The reward, while high, doesn't seem worth a second effort.
Difficulty: Easy (Level 20+, things are easy to kill, they just take forever.)

Where is this place? I've been looking everywhere I can think of, but I just can't find this place. It sounds like a quest I would want to do but... where do I find this factory?
