Paavik is annoying the hell out of me. Two times already I've done it, and every time, even though I'm SURE I identified the ghost correctly, the "menacing presence" or whatnot is still there. Gahhh...
Not to mention the wholly annoying wait-around-for-night-and-risk-having-your-items-reset aspect.
By the by, does it matter which of the several ghastly manifestations you call out? :/

I think it does, but I've never managed to identify a pattern. The time that I -did- get it was completely random.

It's not really possible to solve it if you don't summon / talk to them all...
Well, excepting blind luck.

Wait... you can -talk- to the apparitions? We're not talking about the paintings, just the rooms with the bleeding walls and stuff. I used the ghost paintings to figure out what I needed to get/say/do/etc but even though I was 100013810246123% sure I was right and got someone to double check it, I still failed 2/3 times.
Rika2008-10-10 01:45:24
Because there are three apparitions, and you need to work out which one is the right one.

Did you find the hidden part of the house? If you haven't been able to narrow it down to the right thing, you're still missing at least one clue.

I found all areas of everything. Honours me and you'll see I solved it. I knew what I needed, I just didn't know which apparition to bother
Dugan2008-10-10 06:14:16
I loved the Paavik quest. I love its dark and twisted story.

They tell you that, though...

Do they, really? Because they've told me wrong before. I've completed this quest twice before, putting all the pieces where all indications say they go, and still haven't solved it. I figured there was some step I was missing, but after talking to others there isn't.
Cool idea, but I get the feeling it's got a problem or two in implementation.
Kiradawea2008-10-10 14:36:58
I've done the Paavik quest more than ten times, and each time I've been able to figure out exactly who is the ghost to be banished. You must be doing something wrong, though I can't say what it is.

They do... but they sometimes 'misremember'. You have to talk to them all and piece together the clues correctly... using everything. Rule out the memories that don't fit the clues you've found. It's really sounding like you're just missing a key part.

Is there some denizen in the the Flats besides Myrtle, Quahog, Pyrlios, and Susie that contributes to the quest?
Unknown2008-10-13 21:43:44
No. Or ... kind of, sort of.

I think when Susie finished her sandcastle.. That was the most lolworthy moment I've ever seen in the game. I'm such a griefer.

This may be a bit much but... think things through and pay attention, don't just go around killing everything you see.
Shaddus2008-10-29 02:17:09
How do you know what poisons toput on what clubs, for the Acknor quest? I've done it a handful of times where it only needed a bare club, but plenty of times, it requires the poison, and I usually pick the wrong club/poison.
Kharaen2008-10-29 02:28:41
I think you can talk to the named orcs to get the weaknesses of the Chief.
Is the Carramore quest broken? I handed in all the ingredients for the floral perfume several times, but never got the perfume :/

Give the clubs to the denizens, except NOT the woodcutter. give it to the slavemasters, the general store orc, Bhatagoba (or whatever her name is) and the guy in the southwestern shop. they will tell you what you need.

So... Arthar'rt is seriously bugged, no?
I mean. I've been trying to solve it. For days. 8 out of 10 times, the crystals in the construct cannot be pushed. Now, the not-able-to-push thing, if I'm not mistaken, happens when you use up all your tries on the mastermind game. That's fine. However, it's NOT fine when the quest completely restarts (24 hours later, to be sure), I do everything over, and it's supposed to work... But for some reason, the crystals can still not be pushed.
And from my experience, bugging it wouldn't help since bugged quests often stay bugged... So yeah. This is basically a rant.
Unless someone shows me a brilliant solution I've been missing!

There's a limit on the mastermind game? I did it like 20 times before I finished it.
I'll go up and try it now, assuming you have the crystals in the construct.
EDIT: Working fine. Remember it's push (colour).
