A confused sperm whale and a small bowl of petunias.
Xenthos2007-06-15 00:10:00
I believe it would be better as a single potted petunia instead of a bowl of them, however.
Vix2007-06-15 01:24:55
Oh, not again.
Shiri2007-06-15 01:26:05
It's not that I missed the reference, but what does this have to do with Ayridion?

Not really anything.

Maybe he could take a dead character and "reform" him to life, such as Verithrax, Guido Flagg, or another suicided character.
If he does that, I'll quit the game for good, and quite possibly mail the whole administration anthrax. Pulling this sort of idiotic stunt on retired characters is, I hope, not something the admin (even a faux admin like Ayridion) would do.

Could you imaging an angelic Guido Flagg?
Could you imaging an angelic Guido Flagg?
That just seems disrespectful for the players of those characters. If you suicided Tully, would you want Ayridion bringing you back (not under your control) and then sticking his hand up your rear and pretending you're a sock puppet?

A goat! I like goats. They are funny.
Arix2007-06-15 11:42:48
Goats have weird eyes though, they're all squiggly

I'm rather sad that I haven't noticed this topic for so long. Good timing nonetheless because I've been thinking about it a little lately, but I'm not in any hurry. However, I have begun work on Verithrax 2.0.
I quite like Ixion's idea, as it coincides with something I'd been thinking about anyway. Maybe I'll beg Estarra to give Richter a full refund and transfer Nocturne to me.
Or perhaps I'll just give one of Celest's colossi the breath of life and take that as my pet, creating Lusternia's first zoid.
Arix2007-06-15 11:56:02
technically, if he's dead then his mortality is expired

First off, I would think I'm only mock-serious.
The reason why I needle suicided characters is that I believe it's a crazy thing to do, because you can always change your mind, but suicide is forever. Go away for a long walk somewhere on the edge of the Basin. And once you suicide, you become part of the fates. Marina had the ability to change her mind. You don't.
(Not to mention I'm of the opinion that if you're too darn cheap not to spend 10 bucks to keep you character from suiciding (and support the game financially), you kinda deserve what happens to your character after death if the admin had an afterlife of sorts.)
But the again, Ayridion might start perma-pookaing me if I'm not careful.
Uh-oh.
I would like to see Soll become sort of like the "Jesus" or "Vishnu Avatars" to Ayridion's "God", that could be interesting, but probably not allowed.
As a player, they don't make you pay credits for this, do they?

@Ayridion: You'd have to beg Richter too. A lot. In cash.
@Tully: I'm not gonna turn this into a flame war, but that's rubbish. I don't mean to sound liek a fanboy, but when you have a god paying their order in TFs to kill you, and you get zapped the second you comne out of inactivity before even doing anything, there isn't much you can do with your character except suicide.
And even if you were joking it... wasn't funny.

Precisely the same amount as most of the other suggestions.
Alodia2007-06-15 15:54:55
Hmm well I think a white cow/bull would be nice, it's just so Holy, and normally associated with Sacrifices (perhaps as well with the lamb, but that's just too Similar to an OOC religion).
Perhaps the Goat would also suffice given that it's also a sacrificial animal plus it is attributed with Healing properties, the Bezoar.

Killing a character is an author's ultimate gesture of dominance over his progeny. If you can't take a character you nurtured from birth and blow his brains out, you failed as a writer.

We already have a Jesus of Lusternia. It's Elostian. Sarrasri pointed this out to me. I think she's got it right

I meant Soll could be Ayridion's "avatar" on Earth, the mortal incarnation of the immortal being, not necessarily a Jesus-type personality.

And that was possibly some of the worst RP I've seen in quite some time.
Tully: "Hey guys, Marina's dead, let's have a funeral."
Marina: "Oh hi I upgraded ur ram."
Tully: "Marina isn't dead, sorry for the confusion."

So the admins can do whatever they please with your suicided character because you were "too cheap" to pay for a "free" game? Right-o.
