unfreeze 'em! or atleast one, and then along with that could come new guilds, clans, skills, races, cities/communes quests it would be great. I have some great Ideas for Gaudiguch, like have a race be gila lizard people and maybe rivaling guilds or something, one could specialize in the manipulation of sand or something cool like that. I think it would be awesome.

...and just the other day I was thinking "it's been a week or two since we've had people talking about the cities'.
As for new races: If you read the histories you'll find that the cities already have races (races we already have) which would be the one to specialize when they eventually come out.

yeah, I haven't read much on the cities so i dont know much about them, but being able to manipulate sand would rock.

Geomancers deal with the earth.
And we've already got the Monk archetype coming, we don't need to split our numbers more with a whole new organization.

Nah.

And hundreds of hours of coding and testing and balancing for hour overworked fearless leaders! We barely have a population for four orgs, also.
I have some great Ideas for Gaudiguch
We all do.
like have a race be gila lizard people and maybe rivaling guilds or something
I'd call them dracnari, or something.
one could specialize in the manipulation of sand or something cool like that.
Sandamancers would be fantastic.
I think it would be awesome.
Well so do we.

Firstly. Gaudiguch has a race, they are called Dracnari.
Secondly Gaudiguch revolves around Fire, so how about Pyromancers.
Thirdly and no.

My mind has been concocting up a whole different theory lately than all of the we don't have enough player base statements. One point in mind is that the monks will defentely add a lot of popularity to Lusternia, seeing how as most people know what monks are and are already popular I feel they will bring in more people from an out of charecter point of view. In turn I see the same for Gaudiguch and Hallifax, if they made the descion to release them now, I can't see how it would hurt. If anything it would help generate the newly formed organizations with new players and the ones who have dedicated their lives to support them.
Dysolis2007-06-15 05:11:23
also if My old thread still exsists ,there is a long long topic on it that I started , I think it's worth 8 pages.
Dysolis2007-06-15 05:50:11
I suppose my statement must be pretty true , considering the lack of responses given to the thread. I hate being a thread killer with no responses ah well.

You waited a whole 40 minutes. And it was written in a different language so some people might have skipped it over. Give them time, it's hardly an irrefutable position.
Unknown2007-06-15 06:55:08
Dysolis, I might sound like an elitist, but having a whole new city populated by newbies and no/very few established characters is not a good thing.

Woah, Shiri has an evil clown side. The mind boggles.
Anyway, I agree with Ytraelux. We don't need cities which are full of newbies and newbies only. Because newbies are weak (means no defense, and as such a griefer's paradise), and clueless (can't help other newbies, and will make a lot of stupid stuff that won't help the city, but rather put it into trouble). Releasing the monks won't help.
If anything, we should wait to release EVEN the monks after we get that automated newbie stuff Estarra wrote in an announce post some time ago. That's what will help Lusternia's playerbase the most.

Quadruple posts FTW?
Thing thats been bothering me, is that now, when they do release a city it now needs five guilds instead of the original three....meaning a lot more players needed for a city. And two extra skill specs.
They could delay the releaese of the bard and monks for a while I suppose, cause they didn't have them when they got frozen...but eventually they'll have to get the new guilds.
Richter2007-06-15 15:01:09
Well, I dunno, not necessarily.
Unknown2007-06-15 15:04:41
How do you know that Estarra doesn't have people working on this already and/or stuff that gets added automatically gets added to the skillset while they develop other things.
Just a thought. I have a feeling the cities and planes are already built, just somewhere hidden or off-line in a database ready to go.

I doubt the new cities will start out with Bards and monks just it takes a lot to purchase them right?
Kaervas2007-06-15 18:40:03
I suppose it was only a matter of time until someone made yet another thread about Hallifax/Gaudiguch. I don't know how people can seriously think having 2 new cities and 10 new guilds would somehow benefit Lusternia much. There's just about enough people stretching out across the current guilds, and monks are stretching it out even further. Even Achaea doesn't have 30 guilds, all of which have 3 leaders here as well, just imagine the sorts of people who would actually get leadership positions.
Unknown2007-06-15 18:42:25
Really. I can understand IG intrest, but it isn't hard to tell OOCly that is isn't happening anytime soon.

48 new positions, by my count, for the two cities (not counting envoy or security/secretary/ect, though I am counting things such as Power minister, treasurer, chancellor, ect)In addition we'll be getting 12 new leadership positions via monk guilds in our current nations.
I can't believe the people wanting them at the same time, that'd be 60 new positions.
Kaervas2007-06-15 18:46:53
They should just release them both as bashing areas and open Ackleberry at some point instead.
