I hate useless skills. Most envoys who have seen many of my suggestions probably realize this. I always try to prune them - at least half my envoy suggestions as both a Celestine and Shadowdancer have been altering useless or impractical skills.
This topic is meant as a place to talk about useless skills in your guild skillsets and possible suggestions to improve them and make them worth using.
The Shadowdancer skills are relatively free of fluff skills like these at the moment, thanks to the gloomtide/bonds changes and the change for longnight I'm submitting, though there are a number of them in hexes:
Worms, dizzy, pox, dementia, healthleech, vomiting.
Now, I'm fine with hexes having a few crappy skills because there are so many skills in hexes that it would be insane if they were ALL good. So I'm not planning on envoying any changes to those.
What useless skills are there in your skillsets?

I've never found much use for manuevers, it all seems too complicated.
Also, Crush is a sissy-man skill, real men use Pulp exclusively.
I think that I'm blessed to be a class where pretty much all of the abilities my skills give me are fairly useful (some more so than others of course).

I'm tempted to say nature blend. Everyone who has the skill should know why. (Gets stripped as soon as you leave the forest. Doesn't even go back up if you enter forest again *sigh*)
Likewise, faeriefire wtf.. how exactly does it make the enemy easier to hit?
(And isn't there a skill in environment or discernment that does the same as nature sense?)
Last but not least, I hate shafts in moon. Some might find it useful, I find it spammy..

BloodyNose is pretty uselss, in BC. <.< Not to forget VomitBlood and Burstorgans! Scourge in Night. (Generally speaking, specifically for me, all skills that use EQ are a nono. )

Shafts should tick slower, if anything.

Nature blend is pretty crappy, yes. I seem to remember changes being made or something?
Faeriefire is good because it removes shroud, letting you see when they writhe/wake/move.

Wildarrane, except Bardoon and PaleBeauty.
Hyperactive, Balancing, Barrelroll, Tripleflash, Forwardflip, and depending on whether it actually does anything, Elasticity.
Empathy, Rebirth, AnimalGrowth, Conceal.
PerfectFourth, Fugue. (I thought I'd found a use for it once, but I was wrong.)
FishCatch, Cluck, Rustle, SnakeCharm.

Acrobatics has some of useless ones.
Balancing. For mana and willpower drain it's harder for you to get knocked to the ground. Useless, especially since we have springup.
Handstand. Waste of power.
Barrelroll is pretty useless. For 2 power jump over one room and land in one adjacent.
Forwardflip. Useless.
Jumpkick. Useless.

Oh, shine could be a bit better too, the damage reduction doesn't help much, and I do believe Moon users don't need any more damage protection, so I've heard people trying to change that to +health? If so, that'd be nice, just make it noticeable.
Back on to shafts, at least it erases the exits, but again, it should tick slower after the initial one, with a moderate chance to keep removing an exit.
Maybe puissance could be made to work on the next 2 hits of a one handed warrior too.
Lastly, vomitblood and burstorgans are pretty sweet if you work for it, and it's easier to get, being strikes.

Hyperactive (forgot this) and Forwardflip are useless, but Elasticity is decent and Tripleflash is very nice.

Nature blend should, at the very least, stay as a defense when you leave the forest - just becomes dormant/active depending on the environment, much like Night totem.
Other than that, most of my skills are useful (if only during certain situations). The only change I would like made is for astroglide to work both ways; currently, Glomdoring is the only organization that has no direct route down from Astral.

I've never found a time Avoid didn't do Tripleflash just as well without the power cost. Maybe if being attacked by several people, in which case I'm toast anyway. You're sure Elasticity actually works, then? I haven't seen it but I haven't done really thorough testing.

During full moon the dmg reduction I got from shine was 2.5% against Forren's staff. And that's -only- for 1 hour out of 32 hours. All the other times it will be between 0% to < 2.5% * . And that for 10 power. Still, I think it's more useful than the old shine. But I agree that it could either be changed, the effect improved or the power cost lowered.
* I'm guessing the damage increase will be within that range too, I've never tested it though.

Um...
FaeDitty, SeleneLullaby, HartDream, Celebrate, AlbionAura?
And tripleflash definitely doesn't suck. At all. (you can do aggressive actions behind it)

Trippleflash is pretty much divinefire before the nerf. It just doesn't work on mobs ( I think? ) but to make up for that striking flash will actually take up your balance. Old DF didn't have that.

I heard something about a change once that it should go 'dormant' when you leave forest and active again when you enter it again. I have no clue if that change was envoyed / not envoyed or got rejected or overlooked or if nature blend is actually supposed to be that way and has just been bugged since..

Vomitblood is a bit of damage, and burstorgans is a 20 seconds "instakill"

don't forget nature nut (near useless), invoke blue for lowmagic.
I actually like dementia. it's one of those weird afflictions that isn't cured by focus mind, but will still stop a cubix person or seal or havens from disappearing. then again if they had havens they'd just divine fire and it'd cure toadcurse cause toadcurse doesn't strip the divine fire defence

Trickster, deathmask.
Roots, storm.
Ur, Nyd, Beorc, Wynn, Isa, Sigil, Tiwaz, Ing, Othala.
For some of my BT friends:
Spook, cluck, fishcatch, mimic, nerfed HillsSmudge, HerbRenewal, SwampSmudge, and nearly every ecology poison.
