Uh I knew that already Ild. If it did clamp while bloodthirsted then it'd actually do more damage, but as it is clamp makes you writhe AND does more damage. But it comes before clamp, so people without clamp would have no reason not to use it right?
Edit: Sorry if I wasn't being clear in my original post, but yeah it's either clamp or bloodthirst. You can't have both.
Even more editing: Doh, just in case we're not clear, clamp does more damage because when you either get clamped or writhe out of clamp(not sure which) you gain alot of bleeding damage which even over time does more damage than bloodthirst.

Oh, my bad I misunderstood... and really I didnt know clamp did more damage than bloodthirst... wowsers, that makes it useless when ya get clamp yer right But for those who don't have it, yeah it is good then

I haven't tested the change to Celebrate, it might be useful now. Depends on if it actually lets me use one less hit to kill things or not. Extra damage is worthless otherwise. Other than that, every buff song in Wildarrane. Stonemists, during my last test, didn't do anything, so it's broken in addition to being relatively worthless.
And even if Forwardflip with Hyperactive can outpace their mending, why the hell would you ever use it? The opportunity cost of using all your balance for that instead of going for a kill is insane. Whenever you stop, they mend up damned fast and you just wasted 10p and a bunch of time. Other than that, Hyperactive is utter trash for a commune bard, to the point where I believe the inept ability of any other skill is far more useful than trans acrobatics.
Basically, almost all of Wildarrane and most of Acrobatics are pretty worthless.

Oooh oooh I thought of one, how about the Feign Death skill thing in Dramatics? How often do you use that? Since it only works until someone tries to autoscoop up yer corpse

rustle IS useful. when I had it, I could bring in all the cows, and not have to wander around looking for hay to give them

Isn't PerfectFourth the one that makes the room your in give extra rats or weevils? How the world is that useless?
Besides the fact that weevils are the slowest way to gain experience and gold, and completely not worth doing for anyone, it's useless because the extra weevils invariably end up in the trees. It's always faster to just go to the next room than to wait for the other two weevils perfectfourth calls, having to climb up and down constantly to see where they showed up.

Isn't Rustle the one that you use to catch live animals? Like cows and sheep?
It doesn't work on sheep. In my experience, rustling is slower than finding hay because it doesn't work most of the time, and the balance loss even on a failed attempt is absurdly long.

And barrelroll. You have a group of enemies one room north of you. You want to avoid it. Barrel roll north, and you get two rooms ahead of your last position, dodging all of them. Far from useless.
Too bad you can't just sprint, then. Sprinting would be much quicker and just as effective without costing 2 power. Wouldn't it be great if Sprinting were, say, about seven skills earlier into the skillset?

Get a mount. The success rate jumps dramatically, just like the help file suggests. Imagine that?
But, if you go and nerf rustling, I'd be very annoyed!
Though, I do wish there was an ability in Tracking that let your hound herd sheep and cows as a sort of upgraded version.

Snakecharm is not useless, it is needed to make snake pits.
Making the net isn't because if you've already gone to Skarch, you're seconds from the person who can make it for you. But maybe charming the snake is useful if you use snakes other than baby adders. Of course, that still means the skill is useless for half the people who have it (the ones with Ecology instead of Tracking).
Sylphas2007-06-20 18:43:10
Barrelroll really should let you jump corner rooms, then it would be really useful, and the incredibly complicated move it's made out to be in the AB files. Still not sure why it's called Barrelroll though, seems odd.
And yeah, when I had my druid stag, Rustling was awesome. Doing it on foot is asking to be frustrated.

Also, Crush is a sissy-man skill, real men use Pulp exclusively.
I think that I'm blessed to be a class where pretty much all of the abilities my skills give me are fairly useful (some more so than others of course).

Phantomsphere might, theoretically, someday, possibly be useful for long, drawn-out group fights?
Phantasmagoria is interesting from an RP point-of-view, but not useful at all.
I think Pollute/Maelstrom/Fury could be used a lot more than they are. In a group fight, it would be very nice for the mage to stand back a few rooms, then use pollute (or the equivalent). If the mage's group is prepared, it should do enough damage for them to be able to pick off a good number of people (in theory). I've never seen it done successfully, but it looks theoretically okay.
Influence supposedly makes it easier for you to influence areas if you set up a demesne first. I might try melding tosha to see if it actually makes any noticeable difference, but I doubt it's enough to tell.

Get gallop, it is 100x better than sprint (cuz it has no hasty messages at all, can gallop without stopping )

You have a point SnakeCharm is useless for Ecologists I guess But is useful for hunters, now if prints would only work on all types of mobs, astral, water etc yay!

Thus, Crowform remains useless for Warriors, and Stagform pretty much useless for everyone.
