For Stag it has been every time it's been suggested, makes warriors too tanky or something, I dunno. That actually doesn't make sense, since Drawdown has it, so I'm probably misremembering, but every time a change to Stagform is suggested, DR comes up, and gets shot down.

Well, it wasn't shot down by envoys-- not a single envoy was against it, at least not enough to even make a note with concerns.
Likely because of the Drawdown comparison, actually.
Sylphas2007-06-20 22:07:36
I haven't a clue what the envoys talk about, I'm remembering gt and clt. May not have made it to envoys.

From: Morgfyre, the Legion
To : Everyone
Subj: Turned Down Changes
- 10% damage reduction for Stagform/Crowform
--- It was felt this was fluff and a rather large damage reduction. Note
that while Moon and Night have a damage reduction, that does not mean
other totemic skills should have one.

50 ego regen every 10 seconds!
Did it get changed or something and no-one noticed?
It was moved up to 100 every tick quite a number of months back, unless it's been re-nerfed ninja'ly.Did it get changed or something and no-one noticed?

Ok, Channels may be a little less useful for Nihilists. One demon is a lot easier to get then a group of fae.
Not really, you've got 'darkcall' we've got 'faecall' I assume the eq times are similar, or even the same. (We can call all our fae at once.)The point is that in a druid demense you'll lose you're entourage once every 10 seconds, and if it takes 5 seconds of eq to get them back... we'll you're better off without them, then standing their off-eq 50% of the time. Other people have similar ways to move you around forcibly, but druids are the worse for losing entourages imo.

Yeah, it was.
Thus, Crowform remains useless for Warriors, and Stagform pretty much useless for everyone.
Alas.

Psh, I use it regularly for the extra 150 health.

I hear stag is really nice for bashing though, with the paints, and the medicine bag

I think you are forgeting about combat stances. Those are pretty much useless.
If, as I suspect, you mean combat styles, then yes. They don't seem to actually do anything.
QUOTE(Noola @ Jun 20 2007, 03:18 PM) 419037
Does it not work?
Not that I've noticed. I tried it in Tosha, didn't have any really noticeable effect.
Ildaudid2007-06-20 23:39:01
Combat style lightning does very very minimal change to speed, like almost non existant. Somewhere in one of the threads there is a log of how minimal the increase is.
I don't bother with agressive and concentrated since they are probably just as bad.
And defensive was way too defensive at one pont. Basically a knight in defensive style was very rarely hit much. But I think they fixed that. It was about 6months or so ago when that was being exploited, hmmm maybe even longer.
But yeah if the styles actually gave a noticeable change to things I think they would be used more. As I see them now, they are nothing more than a placebo pill, to pacify your mind to think you are hitting faster, harder, with more damage, etc

Worms may actually be useful. I think it makes people hungry fairly quickly.
Wildarrane, like most every other music spec. is useless on it's own. Selenelullaby does NOT get someone collapsing from exhaustion, it just makes them tired to a certain point (and no further).

Last I used worms on myself I stood around there for 10 min and was still reasonable full afterwards. That's from fully satiated. Yuck.

Rofl. Well at least Crowform is useful for druids then.
PS: If Crowform / Stagform isn't allowed to have dmg reduction for.. rp? reasons, why not give it a minor avoid? Like bard dodging or something.
EDIT: This is unrelated, but the more I read about skills the funnier I find how Lusternia makes you all 'work' for them. Without pay too. How much time does an envoy spend (including arguments) on coming up and putting through an envoy change because certain skills in their class are useless / don't work etc.. Of course, that's just one way to see it. /hijack

It depends on how when you're around, sometimes there's long discussions. Sometimes there isn't.
Morgfyre posted a reason, about it being too much and that not all Totem skills should have a damage reduction. Which.. Shamarah posted above.
And yes Ildaudid. Stag gives nice buffs to bashing/hunting, Swiftstripes and Lightning are certainly nice for the Equilibrium bonus, Medicinebag can be rather nice for the 8p/50 touches. I like most of Stag's skills, but I also don't like them because most people complain about how weak they are and refuse to join because of that. They have nice RP.

Useless skills:
Phantomsphere
Phantasmagoria
Phantomsphere
Phantasmagoria
I think the utility of Phantomsphere is that you don't have to be in your demesne at all. You can be anywhere on-continent, with demesne watch on, and start sending spheres at someone in a village, or the krokani tower. Granted, the amount of time it takes to summon the spheres and send them towards people makes it useless against anyone who knows what it is (run out of the demesne and run back in) so maybe having it take only three or four spheres would make it better, but it's still not completely useless.
I've been saying Phantasmagoria is useless since it first came out. That is all.
