Starfish move, as I said. Go look at the Celest nexus world, there are starfish on it that move around.

Ok then. Who created starfish? Oh, and I just realised I left out monkeys too. Darn. Who would create monkeys?
Vionne2007-06-20 18:27:38
I think you forgot caterpillars, moths, and robins.

- Crabs

I am SO not claiming crabs. Viravain was always known for her birds and her insects.

You can also add the Lyrebirds to the list of Flapping Viravain as they were created by her as a gift to Lyreth way back when.

Sheesh, everyone knows it stands for Dynara Nomenclatural Analogies.

You've caused the death of newbies everywhere.

Ooooh, good one!

If I'm not mistaken - I'm sure Charune will correct me if I am - Charune created the ponies while it was his brother, Centaubi, that created the horses.

Deoxyribonucleic Acid

Ever seen the underside of a starfish? They have loads of teeny little legs. An clams move inside their shells. They're not just shells, you know.

And I always thoughts there might be some sort of seventh circle god called Nagara or something who made snakes and splintered into the Nagaradja. (random idea)
Arel2007-06-20 19:13:38
Lusternia hasn't gotten the ability to look any closer than cells, so I think knowing about deoxyribonucleic acid is a bit beyond us.

Its true, he mentioned it a LONG time ago to his Order. The ponies were like a funny mock of his horses.

As opposed to Roark Neo-nomenclatural Analogies.

We don't know what the Elder Gods know. Something tells me Xyl knew all these secrets. If you know how to create life, you know DNA. Viravain and Charune probably know more about DNA, RNA, and quarks than our Nobel Prize winning PhDs.

Or, y'know, you just use magic.

Which is what they did.

Besides, DNA existing in our world doesn't mean it exists in Lusternia. After all, sentients in our world aren't powered by the splintered shard of a dead god.
Unknown2007-06-20 19:22:19
Yeah. The Creator Divine made creatures by imbueing them with a fraction of their spirit.
Unknown2007-06-20 19:24:02
Well, when defining what exists in fantasy milleux, you usually start from a realistic base and then add magic and the impossible. At least, the really good ones, such as Middle Earth or Empire of the Petal Throne. You assume physics and the like exist as they do in our world until and unless clearly defined (or hinted) otherwise.

Internal logic is very important. Especially when dealing with cynical types who get thrown out of reality when flaws in the world logic come up.

What do starsuckers, dream leeches, grubs, gargoyles, stoneghasts, lyndwyrms, things in aetherspace and astral monters go under?
