Has their been a date released for the new Monk guild? im dying to know

multimonth process from the date of posting. which was...early june? so I figure by august at earliest.

I don't see why everyone has their panties in a knot about Monks.

Are they expecting KaiChoke? KaiHeal? KaiBanish?

(Come to think of it, everything with a Kai in front of the ability was a terrible, terrible idea).

Also, is this somehow related to the swarm of Kephera in the Serenwilde?

If kephera monk becomes the new easymode, I'm going to shave my head, emasculate myself, and convert to Noolism.

Maybe I just don't get the appeal of being a monk.

These monks will get weapons. I can't help but think of them as ninjas

Well, if you hate your current guild (or your a bard who ever plans to be a serious combatant without bringing a friend or two along) and want to transfer to an archetype that is new and probably won't suck, then I can see the appeal of being a monk.

Oh, I've got 100% faith in the admins turning out something fun, balanced, and as always, better than it is in other IRE games.

If the new Monk archtype is ANYTHING like the Achaea one, then I'll be pleased. I LOVED being a monk back in Achaea. I just hope that it's not all 'Kai'ed' stuff, if you get my drift. If they can set up different combos moves that do different things, then I'll be pleased. Maybe if the Admin can set up a pressure point system that, if done correctly, can take out someone's organs and whatnot, since that CAN and DOES happen in real life. I've seen it for myself!

P.S. I take karate myself, and as a nickname at my dojo, they call me the "98lb. Monk" because I'm as thin as a post, and I shave my head almost bald constantly. Actually, I was just recently promoted to Black Belt! YAY ME!

That's the generic skills thread we were using for input before the Monk Subforum was developed. It'll say just about everything concerning how monks will operate (Give or take wading through 12 pages of OMG THIS IS GOING TO ROCK posts). It may be missing some information on Kata forms, or the Seren/Celest skill (Harmony) which is almost finished.

Shou, as far as I know, they've already got Kata/Psychometabolism (and maybe a spec or two?) coded.

They are likely going to release the monks on August 14th, since thats when my wedding is, and they don't want me to ruin anything.

'cause you weren't 1) on the list of 5 Glooms selected by their leadership for access, or 2) on the list of bugged people who randomly get access to it despite not being 1.

If that is the case, why haven't we seen the list of skills they decided for psychometab, from the ones we all brainstormed with? Or do you mean hardcoded? Which would be seem really easy since it is simply psi sub super balances.
