Letters ftw. If you want to save a message, spend the two thousand gold to preserve it.
And the message code is going to be a big change. Achaea fiddled with it, and iirc it took a good while.

I'll have to purge my messages using the web site. I have 1800+ now, I've done a good job removing the automatic ones in the past but it's sort of something I ignore. When you have a powerplex gem you get a lot of those things.

How do you do messages on the website? Can't find the link.
Unknown2007-06-23 14:36:33
I understand Shou, it's kinda buried.
You go to this page:
http://www.lusternia.com/players.php
Then you click the login link and use the same username/password as your character.
Then you go back to the players page. Click Player Honours, then look yourself up.
Find your own name, then select it. When you do, you have the option to change your avatar picture (or character picture) and you can also read your own messages. It's easier to do it there because you can just check them off and easily navigate back, unless you enjoy fast command-line usage.
Note you can't SEND, but you can read and delete.
Personally, I'd love to see IRE develop a news reader for the News postings for their games. That would really be useful.

Wow, reading messages on the site is 1,000x easier. Gee, so many memories in those :/ I miss my old buddies.
Noola2007-06-23 22:58:04
That's how I check my messages at work. Also, I use it to reply to messages... I'll have the messages on the website open so I can re-read the message I'm replying to without having to scroll up and down all the time. So I'm sure I've replied to everything in the message and so on. Or like if someone messaged me a lot of information I need to pass along in a news post or something.
Reading messages on the website ftw!

Sorry I wasn't aware that Lex Luther was going to dominate Lusternia with a Ray Beam and destroy us all, but yeah like Xenthos said above, we prepare for it when a few people warn us with lag incoming (when they are about to check their messages) so it isn't 100% confirmed, but when ya can narrow it down so much that a person warns you it is coming in, I would think it was a little bit of a problem
And Lex, if your out there, reading this. You don't want to play here and destroy us anyways. Go play Hello Kitty.

lol
Just stfu I know for the most part that the majority people who play lusternia would never willfully exploit this bug or do it to harm the gameplay experience, but some people would. If for instance, a fatal flaw was found in WoW that made the entire server lag, people would do it just to be annoying. If someone wanted to hurt lusternia, they now know exactly what to do. Create multiple alts, accumulate 2000+ messages and let the mayhem begin. Lex Luther. Psh. I'm a realist, bitch.

Just deleted them all.
I remember Achaea having this problem, heh.

This is why I only use messages to bypass needing planar (which is rather annoying, and pretty metagaming, but whatever). If I just want to contact someone who isn't around I send a letter.

I know! I like the one where I was guild admin and someone messaged me that they trained Forren for their advancement. Grieferminnow
