No, please no. Firstly, Swiftstripes/Lightning facepaints are part of Stag but not Stagform, so that's confusing and/or irrelevant to the thread. Secondly, +1 Con will be next to useless for a warrior, as I think I already mentioned.
A facepaint boost is not irrelevant to the thread. Facepaints are a part of the skillset, and seeing as Stag/Crowform already affect other abilities in their skillsets (lowering power cost), boosting facepaints seems all right. I don't know if the idea is balanced, but it's hardly 'confusing/irrelevant'.
Currently, I'm guessing, Stag Warriors have Yellow + Weathering for +2 Con. Also, con platters are useless for Stag Warriors at the moment, as are favours (lower than truefavours). Giving +1 Con to Stagform makes both those buffs worth an extra constitution point.
I simply don't see how +1 Con buff can be useless, unless you can already consistently reach the maximum (8+ buff).

The only things Stagform effects are things that would actually be on a deer's body, Stagstomp (hooves), Parade (antlers) and headbutt (headbutt gets a damage boost because of the antlers). I can't speak for Crowform, but I'm sure one of the people who have it can.
While I, as a Druid, would love a Con buff.. the Warrior with Stag seems to be against.
Krellan2007-06-29 23:00:18
a warrior with it shouldn't protest because I think the general agreement is that dex is close to useless. though they should protest if I was wrong about that consensus
Gero2007-06-29 23:29:19
Well how about switch the 10 to weapons to 10 to armor stats instead I think that would help balance it out
Hazar2007-06-30 00:18:35
Nightkiss/drawdown affect weapon and armor stats, I'm pretty sure.

Pretty sure they don't. Or if they do they certainly don't work on greatrobes.
Xavius2007-06-30 00:36:25
I kinda like the facepaint ideas, at least as far as Crow goes. Double effect of all facepaints. Easy, not ridiculous, used by druids and warriors both. I don't know the Stag ones beyond the balance and eq modifiers.

Or that part only ticks for warriors.
Rika2007-06-30 01:55:01
I think drawdown/nightkiss only works on weapons and not armour.
Athalas2007-06-30 02:34:44
Armor gets the "bathed in silvery light" line for weaponprobe but nothing actually happens to it.
Hazar2007-06-30 05:02:11
Ah. That would explain my confusion.
Then I like that idea!

give more damage to Druids' cudgel with their Stag/Crowform and help the warriors by giving them more damage output or modified damage or extra damage in certian types... heck, make it that it's based on the station... give +10%(extra damage) of Ice in winter, fire in summer, lighting in fall and venom in spring!
Gero2007-06-30 08:30:17
No warriors use blunt and cutting for a reason, they have runes if you want to change damage types

Ability granted by crowform
10 Carrion- Crow DarkSpirit/BloodThirst
For 30 seconds you will be filled with the fury of Brother Crow, granting you either enhanced equilibrium recovery, or enhanced balance recovery.
Useful for hunting AND combat... Would defininitely make crowform worthwhile for me.

The effects of dexterity aren't as readily apparent as constitution or intelligence, but a +1 boost for my crappy dexterity is more useful to me than a small (weighted) boost to my superior constitution. I often have a favour, plus weathering and other boosts. I can get my constitution up over 20 easily, but my dexterity sits at 10. If you want a constitution boost, leave the dexterity boost and give me both then.
Also, I don't really care much for the facepaints in Stag. The ones in Crow seem much more useful to me. Endurance regeneration? I only need that when I don't cure my broken/crushed chest and it drains abnormally fast.

Shamarah2007-07-01 16:33:59
A level 1 balance bonus isn't useful? :/ It's not like you have anything that uses eq either. And you do seem to find uses for the sunshine facepaint against me.

Sure, I use the Trueheart and Swiftstripes, but I would like to see Greenman replaced with something more useful. I know Lightning is more useful for Druids, so that's okay, I guess.
Anarias2007-07-01 22:14:50
Greenman is pretty killer for Dreamweavers too.

there's also runes for stat increase in weapons

That doesn't change the damage type, just increase the stats
