That's pretty cool - now I know why Demigods have the "go haven" syntax, too. Interesting!

I don't get why y'all who use Palisade haven't changed the way the buttons look. They were designed for a larger screen resolution than what it looks like most people are using. Here's just a sample of how I condensed mine.
Also, I had a prettier version that wasn't recognizable as Palisade at all but I accidentally deleted it and haven't had the resolve to do it again yet.
Edit - Picture removed because it was old and included information I don't think I want to advertise

I always have zMUD maximised whilst playing Lusternia, and with standard wrapwidth there used to be an ugly chunk of black space to the left on my screen. Then, I stumbled across buttons...

Omg, Metea, that's awesome! How do you get buttons like those on zMUD??

Kind of you. I won't copy and paste the code here, since it's likely to send anyone with mind for scripting into spasms. In general, though:
The pictures are value-free buttons with image files uploaded. Just create a new button, either using the zMUD interface, or the command line, and specify the location of the bitmap file you want to display - the 'Advanced' tab in the button editor has a 'Bitmap File' line from which you can search for a picture.
To make display windows for afflictions and the like, you'll need a stringlist variable with your afflictions stored in it. Specifying this as the value of the button, e.g. @afflictions, will have the button automatically update from the stringlist, displaying its contents.
For the targetting section, I created buttons with captions of the nature TARGET: .
I suspect that balance-tracking could be achieved in a more sophisticated manner using toggle buttons, but I just had my triggers control the text colour using #NOOP %btncol(Nameofbutton, backgroundcolour, textcolour). Triggers indicating that I lack balance set the text colour of the caption to white, thus blanking out the window, while triggers restoring balance reset the text colour to grey.

I find two things curious about most guis:
First, many seem to have such a large gui, large buttons and a lot of information listed there that they don't really need imo. First thing I always did with palisade was to disable the stat display, time, date and credits. That information generally don't change often. If I need them I type SCORE, TIME etc... I know it's a matter of preference but why do you need those things on the gui and always in sight?
Secondly, almost no one uses a map. At least judging from the sizes of the gui's as there simply wouldn't be any space left. That's the part that confuses me the most, I literally can't live without my map. If I follow someone around in a raid and get seperated I generally die if I have no clue where I am.. because I can't walk fast enough etc. So... how do you people walk and find your location? IMap?

My map refuses to dock with zMud, so I have it open on the righthand side. Rather a nuisance, I'd rather have it dock, but the help files are extremely unhelpful in this instance. CMud docks the map really easily, at least.

I never dock the map, I just make it always stay on top. Docking always seems like a waste of space to me. If I don't dock and use stay on top I can make the map bigger.
