Thanks for the suggestions, everyone! I'm still searching for a family, but usually I'm too shy to ask... I feel like I'm forcing my ideas on someone if I say, "Hey, I think I might be your child" or something like that. I think I'll wait until I get to know someone better, or someone offers to adopt me. It would be really cool to bloodbond and start my own family, but there's always the chance that the person you bloodbond goes inactive and you have to reject family.

Richter dragged me off to the registration spot. I didn't even know I was being considered, probably forgot. Then poisoned me with crotamene and offered me antidote if I agreed.

You know, whether it's true or not, that sounds exactly like something he'd do. You lot are a really bizarre family, but I never get tired of hearing about the things you get up to.

Although, since he mentioned after Anarias and Astrasia adopted Amarysse that he'd been considering her, I'm even more grateful than ever that they approached me when they did.

Both of Laysus' sisters (Zyanya and Raiha) I've got OOC ties to, both from achaea, but I met them ICly before finding out who they were OOCly, as far as I know. He adopted a couple of daughters (Sarkessa who didn't give him much choice, and I think maybe Camilla? I forget the name exactly) - one of those is shrubbed and the other plain gone now, and Sivriel and Laysus have three children who were two of the three known only IC beforehand, and all three I met ICly before I knew who they were OOCly - and they're all faelings, as is the one main requirement of his kids. >.>

Solution: don't approach people IC with the "hey, I think I might be your child" thing first thing. Contacting them out of character and asking if they're interested and THEN following that up with all the IC stuff seems a good way to go. You can roleplay it if you want and no one feels guilted into it or similar.

Mmm... yeah. I asked on the forums, a bit hopelessly because there was this HUGE list of people waiting to get a family. Then Sarin messaged me about a day later. And then Aramel got considered (memorably, it happened right in the middle of a raid) and so the Mes'ards had yet another member.

Although, come to think of it, Aramel might be the (joint) holder of the Lusternian Record For The Most Siblings EVER. Thirteen, and that's just the formally considered ones.

I'll never forget when I was a noob asking Arel if he could point me in the direction of a family seeking members and he suggested his =P.

It's sort o' surprising how well it worked out, though.

Well, mine's not exactly being adopted, but I found my family like this: "Hey, Nejii, everyone seems to think we act like a married couple. Let's get married and see what everyone does!" "K!" Too bad I'm too old for adoption.

Sadly, no antics ensue when I glamour you, he always just assumes it's me. Does he do that to you a lot?

Mmnope. I usually log onto Lusternia and MSN simultaneously so he knows it's me. And I thought you could only glamour people that were online?

For Gabranth I wanted to join a noble house, which is why I came from Aetolia (vamps just weren't that noble anymore) and eventually the only active Geomancer d'Murani Revan agreed to let me join, which my ooc connection with Athine helped, although I'm hoping I did stand out a bit as a novice type. Then Revan messes up with Luciden, so he became no name and i reject it later after whole athine-argument created scandal and he asked me to leave, not a very normal family!. It is fun rp though..sorta. I think ooc helps though and one does need to ask, I found out Reiha and some others would've adopted me though had I asked, I was just closed minded.
