Thoros can probably explain it better, but it's a combination of cudgel having horrid damage, Kephera in need of a nerf, and Nihilists having nice physical resistances.

On a side note, he'd be even more tankier if Crocodile was positive.

Cudgel defense doesn't have that much to do with physical resistances. It has more to do with controlling bleeding. If he could keep his bleeding down, he could tank cudgel damage even without great physical defense. So, I would throw my vote behind the "BOOST CUDGEL" option.

Thoros is a tanky beast. He was probably using full regens, putrefaction, and crocodile.

So? He had at least six people and guards hitting him. No one should be that tanky.

He put up a gerat pent... this was silly though. 5 people using their strongest skill and Guards shouldn't be shrug-able. It should be "oh shiza"

Generally...cudgel is shafted like warriorweapons 'cause of RoA, too.
And guards are laughable, cudgel can do some damage. He prolly had putre up, too.

what everyone else said about thoros, plus none of the active hartstones have runes anymore. you could've just radded him.

Gather a crew to donate credits to the new runist hartstone fund! You'll have tons of them in no time.

Rad only takes 16 lessons.

People should mention that to newbie druids who aren't going to buy credits. If they want to be immense helps in defending against raids, take runes and learn to Rad, 16 lessons in.


EDIT: Just make sure to tell them WHEN to use Rad. I've had newbies rad people out to safety when the person was almost dead due to not understanding when we needed the skill to be used =(

With just Rad, though, they won't be able to do anything. They'll need Staffsling to prevent something like this.

I also don't think crap like this should be possible. All of the solo raids of Celest/Seren guards while hiding behind Greater Pentagram are very annoying.

Don't make the mistake of thinking those are the only two orgs things like that have ever happened to. And anyway, isn't this the whole purpose of the Greater Pentagram skill? If people aren't supposed to use it to raid, when should it be used?

I do agree that cudgel needs to be upgraded to be worth something, and that kephera are a little too tanky. Still, this shows a lot of disorganization from Seren. The druids were pointing their cudgels - that part is great. I saw one person talk about sending fae in, but only one group of fae entered, and they may not have even been ordered to attack. Laysus was pushing hexes in, was he the only hexe there who could push? Is it possible to get through greater pentagram in dreamform to cause more trouble, and possibly even bodysnap? It may not be, but it seems like if the group had worked correctly they could have (at the very least) run him off more quickly.

Cudgel is worth something - just not outside of groups or sap. The bleeding stacks up very fast when you can't clot. Normally excessive clotting like Thoros was probably doing would cost a good chunk of mana, but Thoros didn't have much of a worry about mana - it's not like someone was able to enter the room and toadcurse him.
