I saw it last night - I thought it was the best HP movie yet.

Best yet too, IMO. Even if two of the girls were utter freaks and crying throughout ("OMG flashback scene to Cedrics death! OMG Sirius is dead! OMG I stubbed my toe!"), and one of the guys was a fanboy and all "THAT WAS INFERIOR IN MOST RESPECTS TO THE PREVIOUS TWO THOUGH PERHAPS I SHALL WARM TO IT ON REPEAT VIEWINGS".

Good thing there was a normal person there to laugh about Lupin and Sirius' obvious gay affair with. freaked.gif

I saw this movie last night and have to say I actually enjoyed it.

My favorite scene was when Harry, Ron and Hermoine in all their wizardly wisdom put their heads together and decided it would be fun to sneak up on Snape in his dungeon and bump him around with their torsos while singing "Bother Bother Bother!" over and over again.

Dumbledore popping up out of no where and shouting "Dumbledore!!" while naked was NOT COOL.

Ah, but the best bits were in the sequel.. "I've found the source of the source of the ticking! It's a pipe bomb! Yay!"
Shiri2007-07-15 01:05:00
I didn't like this one anywhere as much as the last ones. Is it me or did they cut/alter too much? They COMPLETELY rewrote Cho, what the hell was that about?
Vix2007-07-15 01:06:50
Yeah. Really bad idea to reread the book before watching the movie. It just highlights all of the stuff they did wrong.

I didn't even remember most of the things until I watched the film and saw half of them conspicuously missing. Haven't read it in years, and my memory's awful.

I wish they would change the sixth movie and put Harry back with Cho.

The Ginny thing freaks me out. whatthe.gif

Same. >_>
Vix2007-07-15 01:14:47
Something that bothered me: Harry was way too buff.
Unknown2007-07-15 01:35:34
Yeah, I thought of the Harry/Ginny thing to. They'll probably have to change Ginny's actor so they don't get arrested for kiddy porn. Say hello to Lindsy Lohan as Ginny. dead.gif

And, Harry isn't that buff. dry.gif

I'm I the only one who wishes the final fight had sticked to the book? Would of been a lot cooler IMO.

Am I the only one angry at Rowling for filling our heads with good and happy things about James Potter four FOUR BOOKS and then making him up to actually be an asshole?

Yes. He was an asshole in school, when he grew up he might've been nice!

Sure. Because Snape stopped being a nerd and Tom Riddle stopped being a whiny bitch. Uh huh.

I always took it that if you were his friend he was very nice, loyal, so on and so on. If you were not his friend you'd better get the :censored: away. And so far we have only seen him from his friends view point and not snapes.

To sum it up. Harry's dad was a typical teenage jerk. Never that suprising

Well, in the book, when Harry asks Remus and Sirius wtf his dad and them were doing being such A-holes, that's pretty much the explination they give him. The movie didn't show Harry confronting Sirius and Remus and even made it seem like Harry didn't have any conflict at all with seeing his dad being such a jerk and that's too bad as having his image of his dad as a Good Person being shattered like that was a pretty major thing in the book and was something I was looking forward to seeing in the movie.

Oh, and how the hell did Hermione, et al, ride a Thestral if THEY CAN'T SEE THEM?

Why didn't they use their wands?

How did they fly with their wands over the Thames in plain sight of hundreds of Muggles and not even get so much as a peep from the Ministry, while Harry almost gets expelled for using the Patronum spell UNDERNEATH AN OVERPASS WHERE ONLY HIS IDIOT COUSIN DUDLEY CAN SEE HIM?
