Celest will be using staves. Estarra's started asking us for skill ideas in the monk subforum.
The name "Bokendai" seems to come mostly from the bo staff.

YAY BO STAFFS!!! OMG! They rock!

Am I the only one who, when thinking about the word "shofa", think of a 70 year old jewish woman insulting someone?
"You're such a shofa."
Or am I just odd and probably overly exhausted?

I'm voting odd and overly exhausted.

No, but I do think of a 70 year old Jewish woman on Rosh Hashana
"SHush! Listen to da Shofa!"

You beat me. I was picturing a tae'dae with a lisp beating someone senseless with furniture.
"And for my finale, you get the footshtool."

Napoleon Dynamite was pretty good with a bo staff.

I'm holding out for bagh nakh knives.
I live in hope.
I live in hope.
I could be mistaken about this, but aren't bagh-nahk and neko-te functionally very similar? I know they're not identical, but close enough that a skillset based around them would do the same thing? Plus, since they're be called Nekotai either way, you won't be able to tell the difference.
Edit: But while we're wishing for things, I'd love to see something from the flexible weapon category: meteor hammers, rope darts, or chain whips. Chain whips probably make the most sense, since you can use one in each hand, while the dart/hammers are anchored in one hand and played from the right.

Swordchucks, yo.
Shofa are really cool looking!

Odd, I've seen these once before, but I never really did think of it this way...
I thought the Shofas were something similar to the PR-24's that police officers had used (basically, a straight bar with a side handle. The side handle you'd grip with your hand, while the bar lined across your forearm.)
I like that idea personally, replacing part of the bar and making it more of a blade, but...I like this better. More fluid, and it makes it understandable on how you can wield two without cutting yourself >.>

Yes, those. They're also called PR-24's, last I checked (Uncle was a Law Enforcement teacher in an AFB he worked at till her retired.)
But yes, those.

I was hoping for the kind that's a knife with the claws on the side.

I'd like to see guns that shoot out hammerhead sharks.

Just curious as to what the timeframe is for the other monk classes to be released? I know the bards were released one after another but I don't know the timeframe on that, either. I assume it would be similar?
And neko-te for Gloms? Kekeke Zergling Illithoids!

I know this is a bit late, but... can Celest have Hook swords or if it'll be a staff, can it be a Gun (Staff)
