It actually took me a bit to realize that you weren't actually disgusted by your name.
Will look a lot better if you do use "discussed," though.

Meh... Me and my mix-matched spelling habits....
And I created Talnar after being inactive for a period of 6 months. Any knowledge of the families in Lusternia were wiped from my head by that time.

I really like the harmony skillset. Its almost exactly how I imagined a "gamatria" skillset to work. Really nice.
It would also be very cool, if at the trans level, you could combine other combos (if any exist that aren't done yet) and get some surprise affects.

Some exist that aren't done yet: all the skills have a body, mind or heart descriptor that doesn't mean anything anymore but easily could (body/body/body, mind/mind/mind, heart/heart/heart, body/mind/heart).

Bodyfuel- Id. You can Bodyfuel up to 5 power which immediately becomes usable. Each power you generate costs 1,000 health. Cannot generate more than 10 power.
Suspendedanimation- Sup. For 10p, shut down your body and place yourself in suspended animation. Lasts ? seconds. You cannot be harmed in this state, and when exiting it after your time is up you have full h/m/e and are cured of all afflictions. However, you suffer a major balance loss upon exiting.

I hope there's a timer on the Bodyfuel one... sounds as though power will always be available as long as 1,000 health is. Suspendedanimation- huh? Why can't they be attacked.. did they turn into some super strong material that no weapon or magic can touch? Do they regenerate so quickly any damage is countered? Do they phase out like a ghost? Confused here...
God.. a monk with acrobatics would be annoying as heck to fight. Yay for hyperactive monks and even /more/ defenses for them. I think I'll have to make an alt and find out for myself if monks are as iffy as they look now.

I wanted to post that Ankhagooshrak, or how you pronounce it (sounds like a sneeze - bless you!) looks pitifully weak for a monk. Telepath, maybe. But they're not telepaths. I also wanted to post that Shift isn't going to work on shop doors, as they are all reinforced, and that Suspendedanimation is inferior to Truehealing.
But then I noticed that Zacc posted Dominate as a monk ability, which belongs to Telepathy while monks get Psychometabolism. Which apparently means that he either has no reading comprehension skill or is willing to cheat his way through in vain hope of trying to sway the minds of some of the more ignorant people.
In both cases, he loses by default.
EDIT:
However,
Bodyfuel looks very powerful if it has no limits on amount of power a monk can obtain in time. As for this:
DBZ, lolz?

Um, the way I'm reading bodyfuel is you spend 1k for each power, up to 5. That's pretty much exactly what the AB file says, and right there is a restriction. Also, keep in mind that it's on the Id channel which averages around 5-6 seconds per use, so unless you're planning on using a psioncs feat, you can't use it right away.
The only really useful way I can think to use it is that it lets you use the fake trueheal with less than 10 power on your prompt at all times. You could have as little as 5-6 and still use it, provided you have the health for it. Other than that, there aren't many Psi skills that use power, unless there's a useful one in Psymet I don't know about.
At the karma deal for Akhchukrakoosh, the AB file specifically says the difference between your karma and that of another. Translated into symols, this is K(your)-K(opponents) = damage. Granted, it's possible that the sentence was constructed poorly and it really means "K(y)-K(o) or K(o)-K(y), whichever is greater" but since subtraction isn't commutative, it probably means what it says. Thus the monk would need to have a higher karma than the other person for it to do any real damage (or at all?)

I wondered about that with karma too. From the sentence structure, if you take it technically, it means that the monk has to have higher karma than the target. If you read it that way, though, a monk with lower karma would actually heal the target, so I am guessing that is not what is meant. I haven't actually tested it, but my guess would be that any difference in karma would work. At least, that's my hope! Right now I'm at 100%, though, so I'm not too worried either way.
Zacc2007-07-19 20:35:26
Akhchukrakoosh- from the sound of the AB file, the difference between karma is the factor. Monk has 0 karma and target has 100 karma- big difference, big damage. Monk has 60 karma and target has 50- small difference, little damage.
Yay for another insta-kill ability.. as if we needed more. Hope it has a power cost attached.
Bodyfuel- as has been pointed out, the AB file makes it sound as though there's potential for unlimited power as long as health can be replenished. Health vial, anyone? I'd rather this be an ability in Discipline.
Oh.. basic psionics doesn't have dominate. What was I thinking.. (and of course, the usuals chime in to point out my mistake). Well, yes, it was my mistake. Oopsies!
Monks do get psiarmour, though. They're looking awfully tanky.. Still can't wait to see the hyperactive aslaran monks and such... and that skill that increases debating and influencing. Also can't wait for trans influence/dramatics, titan/demigod monks... Would like to see how that one turns out.
Were all the power costs posted for those skills? I noticed an awful lack of skills requiring power.

I actually loathe that Monks can chose acrobatics, simply because now Hyperactive is going to be worth a damn for a lot of the classes that can chose it, instead of under half of them, and there's probably less chance it'll ever change to be worth learning for commune bards or city Illusionists.
Daganev2007-07-19 20:40:50
does psiarmour + bodyfuel = 5 power for 5K ego?
