You imagined me with a hat with a dinosaur on it and a fanny pack, didn't you.

Wtf, I want to come live in Seattle.
It snowed for like an hour down here in Olympia before it moved up to you guys. I was asleep for that hour. Woke up at 3 PM and it was all melted.

Kickboxing, birthdays and boobies.
Not all at once tho. That'd be an awesome overdose. I'd start foaming at the mouth.

Even two at once would be great.

I dunno, would I be kickboxing the boobies or would the boobies themselves be kickboxing?

Some kind of horrifying free-for-all, then.
Horrifyingly sexy!
Coincidentally I move that from now on breasts are called "cheasticles".

Today I bought Call of Cthulhu and Other Weird Stories by H.P. Lovecraft, and Jeff Buckley: Live in Chicago on DVD. Very excited for Christmas break when I can enjoy both of them.

Finally getting over the flu, and tomorrow I go in for laser eye surgery!..
.. That kind of means I don't get to play Lusternia even though I'm finally getting over the flu that kept me in bed for a week.. but...
.. Still!

YAY you are so lucky to get that, I want it so bad. GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Also my rave is Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is on TV! Even though I've watched all of the HP movies about 5 billion times, I still love them. There's something about watching movies on TV, and they also show extended scenes.

Yeah, same feeling here.
I love how Harry Potter has become a Christmas time movie. That means they'll be on every Holiday season for years to come.

If you guys haven't, but you plan to see the Golden Compass, you should pick up His Dark Materials trilogy. It puts Harry Potter in his place.

I own The Golden Compass, and it is a great read. Going to be reading the other soon.
Doesn't put Harry anywhere he doesn't want to be, though.

Ah, so His Dark Materials trilogy is worth reading? I was thinking of picking it up over Thanksgiving break before I realized I'd have zero time to read it during school

I think that it's better than Harry Potter, as I stated. Both in writing quality, and depth as far as i'm concerned. Lots of religion and political stuff masked away in a book marketed to YA market.

It's definitely worth reading. The movie is coming out, and has been getting a lot of dumb flak for being atheist in nature.
Philip Pullman actually said something about Harry Potter the other day that Raiha showed me:
****SPOILERS********
"I've been surprised by how little criticism I've got. Harry Potter's been taking all the flak. I'm a great fan of J.K. Rowling, but the people - mainly from America's Bible Belt - who complain that Harry Potter promotes Satanism or witchcraft obviously haven't got enough in their lives. Meanwhile, I've been flying under the radar, saying things that are far more subversive than anything poor old Harry has said. My books are about killing God." - Philip Pullman

I didn't think so, considering I haven't read the last book and don't feel spoiled by knowing that. It's more of the theme of the books than an actual plot point.
I marked it though.
