And this weekend I'm going away with my mother up to the Giant's Causeway, and some rope bridge, just for two days

I'm actually not. I'm a very fun person, just that's how I view certain things. I have a lot of fears, like Monk, but less crippling, because I can't avoid them all.

I have been trying the green-drake eggs for almost a year now and still no drop. And the one time Skadi dropped it, I missed the drop

At least I still have my Red Proto.

Nice on the Red Proto. I suppose if I really wanted it though I could ask my guild to help finish up, but I'm mostly happy with my violet.

We finally decided to just go ahead and buy a new video card (we had been working under an older video card, which...worked, but we wanted a better one again)

So we go to best buy. First problem.

I was not confident in my ability to install a really high end video card. Those things are huge, and my last time installing stuff was memory cards.

So, we get the geek squad people to install it. Next problem.

They call us, and say, we can't install it, the hard drive is going bad.

We know that, the thing is ancient, just install it.

No.

Really? Reaaaallly? We know it's going bad, we'll even sign away our souls, just install the goddamned thing.

Still, no. We could wait till Sunday to talk to a manager, because the one on shift wasn't willing to make the call about wether or not he would allow us to sign away our souls. Jerk.

After much arguing, in which they try and convince us to not only buy a new harddrive, but buy a new computer and goddamned windows 7 at the same time, we say, :censor: it, we're going home.

We come home. We call our local tech savvy friend.

Will it have instructions to install it, I ask?

Unlikely. I've never seen them come with instructions.

Sigh.

No, but eventually I could get you one.

I open the box, and miracle one!

It DOES have instructions. Mind you, I was told the memory chips I installed ages ago wouldn't come with instructions either, and they did.

So. I carefully take out the very small video card we had in there.

Oh lords, the new one is huge.

After much verrrry careful work, and I install the video card.

Start computer.
