I upgraded to a Droid X to replace my dead phone! Now I just need to figure out how to get rid of all the unnecessary apps that it comes with.

I'm looking forward to the next few weeks of classes, I find myself way more engaged in my classes here than back home.

And on Tuesday I'm doing a Thanksgiving dinner with the other two Canadians and introducing some of our flatmates to it.

I more or less stopped playing Magic the Gathering when I moved to Hawaii (player base there is meh, inconvenient locations), but I just found out that there is a really good location near me!

I decided to take on a bet with a pro I know regarding whether it's possible to predict a deck down to 52 cards within 4 turns of play in any given format (I picked CHK-RAV standard.) Lemme know if you guys want to pitch in on that.

You know the salt and vinegar chips are going to be good when you open the bag and the poof of vinegar smell that hits you makes your teeth tingle.

I feel like this RPG campaign is going to be more successful than previous ones I've had since my last awesome one like seven years ago before I even knew any of you guys, because we're all around regularly and good friends. And thanks to Lendren for helping me get some things worked out too.

Wow, first time trying out yoga tonight ... it really kicked my bum. But, now I feel so limber!

I got IHOP with some people, went to the bank, got my hair cut, and applied for a job.

It feels nice. I just hope I can keep this up for a while before it all falls apart again.

I finished my essay from hell.

MAYBE TOMORROW I CAN LIVE NORMALLY--ohwait no. Need to study for tomorrow's test. Also do Friday homework.

I love climbing. It makes me feel like I'm about to pass out but I love the high elements course!

Oh wait. Passing out middair... potentially bad!

A book on Global Cities I'm using for research that I actually enjoy reading. Not often research books feel useful and interesting.

$5 spent on a tray of four shrimp egg rolls from the Safeway Deli, complete with sweet & sour sauce.

Surprisingly: best. dinner. ever.

So my dad, whom I haven't spoken to in over two years, decided to show up unannounced yesterday. It was good to catch up with him, visit my sister with him, and learn how that side of the family is doing, but it got off to a really awkward start.

Did you know that there are still those religious types who believe that RPG = devil worship or whatever? He asked me what I was doing when he showed up, so I tried explaining Lusternia to him. I got as far as "Role Playing Game" before he started accusing me of reverting to my "old witch ways".

I was sick yesterday. Slept nearly the whole day (hm, I think from around 10 in the morning until 830 at night. Then up for three hours to eat and drink, then back to sleep at midnight, until 1130 today) Was running a fever. Wasn't good. Fiance was awesome. Got food, water, and thermometer for me while I slept. No fever now. I love my fiance so much.

I once pressed my grandmother a little too hard to take me to the bookstore so I could buy a new D&D book. She got frustrated and mentioned something about the devil.
The sheer ignorance almost tore through my DNA and left us unrelated.
