Ack!
I love stormy weather - unless the tornado lands on me, of course! Right now, the tornadoy part has apparently dissapted a bit (we're back down to a Watch now), but we're in for some really rough thunderstorms. It looks like it's about 6pm outside and it's only 10am.

A rave for probably unharmful thunderstorms!

edit: The weather disappoints me. All we're going to get is a lot of dreary rain. Not even any lightning or thunder.

They didn't cross the picket-lines, really. They returned without writers and it is allowed by the guild's code for them to write for themselves. So it's a little different, and generally considered ok. At least by guild standards.

Picket-lines, no picket-lines. I'm just HAPPY they're back on the air.

You know whats amazing? Muffins. They're delicious. On top of that, they're easy to carry around with you (a muffin in each hand feels so right), and there really is no time of the day that isn't an appropriate time to eat a muffin. Morning, evening, between meals, instead of meals. Its amazing. I especially enjoy the chocolate chip muffins that I'm consuming at this moment. Mmmm...

On the way to the bar last night my roommate and I found a little white pitbull puppy wandering on the road! She didn't have a collar but had a leash holder on (but no leash), so we grabbed a scarf and made a leash and walked around the houses nearby looking for her owner. 40 minutes later we found the owners thankfully. It was sooo cuuuute.

Acrune makes me want a muffin.
I always want to rave about the cool classes I'm taking this semester. They're going to be harsh on my time, but I'm stilil pumped.

I got my TiVo!!!
It's so awesome! Once I got it set up that is. No matter what TiVo says, they are not quick and easy to set up!
First off, my entertainment center is big and very heavy. I can't move it by myself. So instead of scooting it out where I could work behind everything, I had to pull everything out, including my big ol monster of a tv that weighs a gazillion pounds. Then, the instructions don't mention what to do if you have a DVD player, so I wind up wiring it wrong. Then, I figured out where I went wrong and got it all wired right, but the next problem is getting the TiVo to connect to it's system to get the programming and what-not. It can do it via broadband or phone. Well, I don't have a network at home - I only have one computer. And sneaking back to work to snag a hub and some extra cables doesn't seem to work and I'm too computer stupid to know why. So, I scrap the broadband idea for now (turns out that the TiVo needs some kind of funny looking adapter or something I'll have to buy with the next paycheck) and go for the phone. Problem is that, while the comcast voice phone service is one of the few voice over IP services TiVo works with, it won't dial out if I've got messages (I tried setting it up custom to ignore the stuttering dialtone but it wouldn't work). So, I had to clear out my messages - and I'd been very bad about checking them so there were a LOT of messages!
Finally though, I got it all done (got home with the thing at 9 and finished all the setting up at 1:30am Had to take a few breaks when my frustration level got to the point I wanted to smash something) and now it works nicely and I'm so excited about my new toy!
